I remember devoting my Sundays to Lifetime movies where they were portrayed by the same people — people in their twenties. I spent so much of my adolescence wishing that I was 20-29 years old, and now, for the life of me, I can't understand why. This is the life defining decade, and for any college student this is the most stressful time in our lives thus far. I romanticized a decade I knew nothing about, and although it is full of hardships, it has its high points as well.

There is something about a collection of words that has a way of bringing us to a place of comfort, no matter our situation, so here is a list of stories and quotes which serve as a daily reminder that whenever things get tough, you aren't alone and you can always move forward.

1. Relit cigarettes never taste the same, but leftover Chinese food tastes better the next day. I guess what I’m saying is timing is everything.

2. You were never meant to be kept, and that’s why people always left. You are destined for better places filled with better people. Quick, run.

3. The possibility for greatness and embarrassment exist in the same space. If you're not willing to be embarrassed, you're probably not willing to be great.

4. "Hours between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m. have a funny habit of making you feel like you're on top of the world or under it." - Beau Taplin

5. I can’t wait till I get to come home to the love of my life every night and talk about our days over expensive wine.

6. Weird how an empty city at 5 in the morning is calming, but somewhere roaming those streets at 6 a.m. is a person losing their mind.

7. Find someone who will be there at 3 a.m. when you’re falling apart and 3 p.m. when you love life, and they make you love it more.

8. He finally picked up courage, and entered the lingerie store. May I help? The salesclerk asked. Yes, this is my first day as a woman.

9. You will be OK. Things can never really be that bad just give it 72 hours, three sleeps can fix almost anything. I promise. Breathe.

10. If every 20something was as happy as they were at age seven, the world would be a much happier place. I truly believe that.

11. "I walked along the shore until dawn, but I knew better than to chase shadows during high tide. I suppose we learn from our mistakes." - Roberto Carcache Flores

12. People don’t travel the world to fall in love with its beauty, but to fall in love with themselves. It’s eye-opening and full of possibility.

13. You are going to be your own hero; you will do anything in your power to push yourself to be better. Believe in yourself, please.

14. Believing in God does not make you a saint, just as questioning Him does not mean you worship the devil. It’s OK to question faith.

15. Don't settle. You deserve to be with someone who sets your soul on fire without even touching your hand. I will not settle for you.

16. You have the soul of a woman who endured hell for 74 years but trapped in the bones of an 18-year*old girl.

17. Nobody has it all figured out. No one holds their first child with all the answers. Not many walk right into their passion after graduation.

18. Love is backwards you know, telling two people they shouldn’t be together when everything in the universe is fighting for them to end up together.

19. Every person that comes into your life is for a reason and not every person lost, is a loss. Let those words resonate with you.

20. You are my past, and we both deserve a future. I’m glad you found happiness, and I can’t wait till the day I do, too.

21. You are not a bad person for the ways you tried to kill your sadness. Being human means we do whatever it takes to survive.

22. Our 20s are about what we plant in the ground, not what we harvest. We can’t pull our seeds before they have time to grow.

23. People walk around with a meaningless life. They seem half-asleep, even when they’re doing things they think are important. Don’t chase the wrong things.

24. It went from “Oh god, I’m so in love” to “Jesus Christ, what have you done” and that’s when I knew loving you was toxic.

25. Don't ever, ever check Facebook when you're:
A. Depressed.
B. Drinking.
C. Depressed and drinking.
D. Unemployed.
E. Struggling
or F. Anytime after 9:12 p.m.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
