25 Ways You Know that You Watched PBS Kids as a Child

If you grew up in the 90s or the early 2000s (and your family didn't want to buy cable), you probably got to watch a lot of PBS Kids as a child. This channel brought countless lovable characters and memories into my life, as I'm sure it did for you. So, it's time for a quick throwback. Here are a few ways you can tell that you used to watch the shows on PBS Kids, back in the day.

1. You learned endless wisdom about life from Arthur and his friends.

2. Your biggest aspiration in life was to be on "Zoom."

"Come on and zoom!"

3. You wished you had friends as cool as Cleo and T-Bone.

4. Cliffhanger made you a little nervous, every time you watched "Between the Lions."

Can't. Hold. On. Much. LONGER!

5. Muffy was your spirit animal.

6. You never forgot that this was 100% juice.

7. You wanted a magical dragon scale more than anything.

8. You never questioned why there was a baby's face on the sun in Teletubbyland.

9. Or why these planes had human faces.

And now you wonder how you could watch Jay Jay the Jet-Plane as a child and not be afraid. Just look at that face...

10. Your only motivation for learning math was so you could help Jackie, Matt and Inez defeat the Hacker.

11. These two were #siblinggoals for you.

12. This show was always an hour well spent.

13. When no one was watching, you sat on a round rug and tried to do this.

And you probably pulled a muscle too.

14. You actually remember Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat.

15. You can still sing this intro song.

16. You always wondered why this kid was bald.

And you know how to pronounce his name, which is saying something.

17. You really wanted a pet talking lemur, because of this show.

Chris and Martin (and Jovian the lemur) were literally the best ever.

18. It was always disappointing when you had to hear the same Speckle and Friends story twice.

19. You knew about George Shrinks before you knew about Ant-Man.

20. Whenever you heard the tune for "Yankee Doodle", you thought of the words to Barney's theme song instead.

21. LeVar Burton's show is the main reason for why you enjoy reading today.

22. So is Wishbone.

23. You really wanted Buster to come visit your house and learn about your city.

24. You always wondered just how many sweaters Mister Rogers owned.

25. You can still quote this intro that played before every show on the PBS channel.

"...and by contributions to your PBS station from viewers like you. Thank you."

A Sunday in Paris

My top five favorite things to do on the city's laziest day.

Nikki Link

To say that Paris moves at a slower pace on Sundays is an understatement. Banks, post offices, restaurants, boulangeries (bakeries), department stores, and most grocery stores close their doors. Even in a bustling metropolis in the 21st century, to the French, Sundays continue to be a sacred day of rest. However, that's not to say that there's nothing to do. Here's a list of my top five favorite things to do on a Sunday in Paris.

An Ode To Lazy Saturdays

Saturday is more exciting than you think.

Kit Johns

Saturday is my favorite day of the week. While the other days of the week are all busy being full of things to do, people to see, the expectation of activity, Saturdays are allowed to be lazy. Saturdays are allowed to be the day when you can wake up in your own time. Eat an actual breakfast. Make a decent cup of coffee and stare out into the endless possibilities of Saturday. You can sit back, relax, and read a book if you want. You can finally binge that show on Netflix everyone's been talking about. You can simply lie down and watch as life tries to flow through the void. Saturday is the day to do it.

Anyone who writes knows that moment you realize you are in the middle of a major block. You lose the will to write altogether. It is not like you do not enjoy writing or do not want to in theory. It is knowing that you have no clue what to write about or any inspiration to even attempt to create.

The Final Crazies

The craziest things I've seen during exam week

7243
Shay Cassady

Exams have a way of bringing out the crazy in us. I’ll even admit that I’m always the most extreme version of myself when the pressure starts to crack down. And the more odd people get the more they influence the people around them, creating a storm of just unusual situations. While, I’ve only been at college for a year I can truly claim I’ve seen some weird stuff go down in Auburn library that week of finals. And if I’m being honest the results of this strange cocktail of desperation, lack of sleep, and junk food doesn’t really surprise me.
