25 Thoughts Girls Have When Scrolling Through Facebook
Bruno Gomiero

As horrible as it sounds, many of us are hooked to our phones. They are never out of our sight, always in our hands. Every morning, as soon as we wake up, we grab our phones and check every social media outlet. And, that's also the last thing we do before we go to bed. It's a routine we just can't break. We feel the need to be constantly updated; it's how we feel connected to everyone and to the world. One of our most used apps is Facebook, which we've all been using since we were in middle school. We can't help, but say things in our head as we scroll through our feed. So, I present to you the 25 thoughts we have when on Facebook!

1. "That's so accurate!"

That's so true about my sign! Yes! So perfect! I can't believe it!

2. "OMG! I need to tag..."

Tagging that one friend in every post because you're literally the same person.

3. "Wait, I can't. My family might see that."

When I find the perfect meme that represents me and my best friend, but it's too inappropriate.

4. "Oh no, Mom posted a picture of me."

5. "TBH, I can always count on her friends to boost my confidence though."

The most loyal fans out there! Shoutout to every single one of you! I wouldn't be here today without you!

6. "Where is that? I need to go there!"

I mean, I'll probably never go, but just for future references.

7. "PUPPIES!!!"

8. "Wait... WHAT? She had a baby!?"

We were just laughing together in math class last year!

9. "WHAT???? And this one is engaged!?"

I can't even find myself a nice guy. Teach me your ways please.

10. "Alright, ok... Why is everyone getting married!?"

11. "I really need to get my sh*t together."

After realizing people around your age are settling down and you still order off the kid's menu.

12. "Oooh, recipe video! That's so easy to make."

Actually, never mind. That looks way too complicated. I'll just make some ramen.

13. "I NEED TO FIND THIS RESTAURANT!"

My bank account says no, but my stomach says yes.

14. "UGH! All these food posts are making me hungry."

I say as I stuff my face with food.

15. "THAT IS SO ME!!!"

16. "FINALLY! He updated his profile picture."

You can finally show your friend a decent picture of the guy you've been talking to instead of the one he posted like two years ago.

17. "Uh, hold on... Who is THAT girl? What a f*ckboy!!!"

18. "Seriously, does this girl just have a professional photographer following her around?"

Like, for real. I can't even rely on my friends to take my pictures.

19. "Screenshotting this and sending it to the group chat."

Even though I know everyone is just gonna ignore me, but hey it's worth a try!

20. "She tagged this one boy in a post... hmm... new bae?"

21. "OH SH*T! They made it Facebook official!"

That's when you know it's legit!

22. "THAT IS SO CUTE! I NEED IT!"

But, do I really?

23. "Oh, God. Did I really post that?"

When Facebook Memories decides to haunt me with how cringy I was back in the day... I AM A CHANGED PERSON NOW!

24. "Political post with like a hundred comments, this should be entertaining."

25. "Alright, I'm going on Instagram now."

Time to stalk rich girls who travel 24/7 and cry about how boring my life is.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
