You love concerts and probably have been to WAY more than you're willing to openly admit. Every concert is a new, exciting experience that you will never forget. Whether you're bringing a friend who has never attended one, going with your regular "concert group", or just going alone, you know you'll be in for a good time. Here are ten thoughts you're guaranteed to have from the moment the tour is announced to the moment you pull out of the venue parking lot.
1. OMG! How many tour dates can I fit into my schedule?
The second the tour is announced you begin figuring out what days you have off from class and work (or will take off).
2. I wonder who I should bring this time...
Which of my usual group can go? Should I bring someone new?
3. I have to cancel all my plans the morning tickets go on-sale.
You know the drill of logging in 30 minutes early, credit card ready, and refreshing the page every second up until 10 o'clock. You cannot trust anyone besides yourself with this important responsibility.
4. Can I really afford VIP this tour?
Even though you've met them 7859238 times before, you know you need AT LEAST one meet and greet this tour.
5. The anticipation is KILLING ME!
The period of time between purchasing the tickets and the actual show seems never ending.
6. Should we dress cute or go all out in fan merch?
The struggle to decide whether you should wear your fan merchandise you made (or bought on previous tours) or your cute outfit.
7. We NEED a cute picture.
Every concert includes a photo session before you leave your house and once you get to the show.
8. Let's get there early I know where they walk in.
You know where the tour buses come in, if the artists stop, and exactly when to get there.
9. I hope these seats are as good as I think they are.
They better not have changed the stage and catwalk setup...
10. Pretty sure I spend more money on parking than on the tickets themselves.
At these rates we should've just walked here.
11. Do I really need ANOTHER t-shirt?
You already own a shirt with their faces on it, the one with the album cover, and the simplistic t-shirt, but there's always room for one more in the collection.
12. I should've snuck in my own food.
$12 DOLLARS FOR TWO CHICKEN TENDERS?!?!?!
13. These seats are good, but not as good as when we sat...
...And that's how you know you've been to this venue WAY too many times.
14. Why do some girls that have VIP insist on acting like they're so cool?
CLEARLY it's their first time meeting the band...
15. This girl isn't really going to hold up that sign during the entire show is she?
It is common sense not to bring a sign at this point... unless you want other regulars like yourself screaming and calling you out for it.
16. Camera ready, the show is starting!
You know how the show opens by heart but that doesn't mean you're not going to take a video of the big intro and fireworks.
17. These girls behind us have CLEARLY never been to a concert before... keep it down.
There are times to scream and there are times to not... learn the difference.
18. My favorite song is next!
You can honestly probably recite the setlist in your sleep.
19. People really need to learn intermission is the WORST time to go to the bathroom.
The bathroom lines are around the stadium and chances are you'll miss part of the show... ALWAYS go during the opening acts.
20. Someone make that girl get off of that chair.
There's always that rude mom that insists
21. I promised myself I wouldn't cry during this song AGAIN.
There's always that one song that reminds you of your ex...
22. No, the show is NOT over... there is an encore.
That's how you can really tell the vets from first-time concert goers.
23. Do all these girls actually think they stop on their way out?
They have promo to do in the morning... no shot.
24. That was seriously the best night of my life... let's do it again.
I feel like this is my first time all over again.
25. PCD sits in the minute you head home.
I miss them already.
