College for some people is going to be the best years of their lives, but not everyone is going have that same experience. There are going to be ups and downs and you are going to ask yourself if college is worth it almost every time you get assigned a paper. However, the ups are going to by far surpass the downs, which is going make the stress and tears worth it. Everyone tells you that you're going to meet your best friends, and that you are going to make some of your favorite memories; they don't tell you about the random ins and outs of college life.
1. You aren't going to become friends with everyone you meet
2. Even though there aren't technically assigned seats, there are
3. The food gets repetitive the second week of school
4. You will cry a lot more than you did in high school
5. Do not buy all of your textbooks; the library has them, and you will not use them nearly as much as you think you will
6. Buying scantrons is not as big of a deal as people act like it is
7. The dryers are set for an hour, but you only need to dry your clothes for 30 minutes
8. You could spend all day in bed, but don't
9. You should apply to live where all of the other freshmen are living, even if that means worse dorms
10. Just because you woke up early in high school, that doesn't mean you will be able to in college
11. Go to the library before finals
12. You are going to fail an assignment at least once and the world isn't over
13. You are going to wish you went to a different school at least once
14. You will not get used to not seeing your high school best friends every day
15. But you will make new friends that will make the transition better
