At one point in everyone's lives, one has felt discouraged from a bad grade. In fact, there was one point in my life, specifically sophomore year, when I felt as if I was doing horribly in my AP World History class. That class made me feel as if I lacked the intelligence to even be in the class. It lowered my self-esteem. No matter how hard I tried to do well in that class, nothing worked out. However, there was one night that changed my entire perspective. The very thing that changed my life was inspirational quotes. Once I began to plaster quotes around my working space and room, I've never felt more encouraged and confident about myself. In fact, those quotes were the very reason as to why I did better in my AP World History class during the second semester and the very reason why I scored a five on the AP exam.

Here are 25 quotes I hope will also inspire you to do better in school, even during your worst times.

1. "You are so close to the victory, don't give up now."

2. "I can and I will. Watch me."

3. "It always seems impossible until it's done."

4. "There is NO elevator to SUCCESS. You have to take the STAIRS."

5. "I didn't come this far to only come this far."

6. "Oh yes, the past can hurt. But the way I see it you can either run from it or learn from it."

7. "Stay positive, work hard, and make it happen."

8. "The struggle you're in today is developing the strength you need for tomorrow."

9. "You must tell yourself, 'No matter how hard it is, or how hard it gets, I'm going to make it.'"

10. "Yes you can."

11. "Do not judge me by my successes, judge me by how many times I fell down and got back up again."

12. "Your life only gets better when you do. Work on yourself and the rest will follow."

13. "I'm not telling you it's going to be easy. I'm telling you it's going to be worth it."

14. "Math is hard. So is life. Get over it."

15. "Will it be easy? Nope. Worth it? Absolutely."

16. "Don't carry your mistakes around with you. Instead, place them under your feet and use them as stepping stones to rise above them."

17. "Know this: you can start over, each morning."

18. "Life is tough, my darling, but so are you."

19. "Forget the mistake. Learn the lesson."

20. "Nothing is impossible. The word itself says 'I'm possible.'"

21. "Sometimes it takes an overwhelming breakdown to have an undeniable breakthrough."

22. "Never stop doing your best just because someone doesn't give you credit."

23. "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars."

24. "You don't want to look back and know you could've done better."

25. "Don't look back — you're not going that way."

I hope these quotes will greatly inspire each and every one of you. I wish you all good luck in doing well in school, and I hope you all never give up because nothing is ever impossible. You can achieve a five on that AP exam or a high A in any difficult course if you work hard enough.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
