22 Things I Can't Wait To Do At TU This Fall

1. Eat a $2 hotdog from the stand outside Urban Outfitters after a night uptown, and stop to pet the adorable pitbull.

2. Wait in a ridiculously long line for a California or Baltimore roll at Kappa Sushi, or head next door to wait in an even longer line to get pesto pasta or a burrito at Ptux.

3. Speaking of which... never knowing the hours of Ptux ever. (And facing the disappointment when you walk across campus to a closed dining hall).

4. Waste time in between classes by sitting in Freedom Square and people watching.

5. Spend a hungover Sunday morning eating at Towson Hot Bagels, and running into everyone you know.

6. Tailgate for a football game, then only stay until the Dance Team and marching band perform at halftime (or until you need to get ready to go out again that night).

7. Take a cliché picture on one of the tiger statues or the Towson art in front of the Psychology Building, and Instagram it with a caption about being happy to be home.

8. Getting lost in CLA, and silently kicking yourself for looking like a freshman.

9. Spend an unproductive day wandering around the Towson Mall, or head to Baltimore!

10. Spend a lazy night burrowed into one of the deep booths at Paws, eating greasy food and watching Netflix on your laptop.

11. Rewarding yourself with a donut from Fractured Prune.

12. Go to every event during Homecoming week, get tons of free stuff, and swing by Dicky's or Turtle for their 18+ pregame.

13. Call Jimmy's Cab to go to a party (for when you can't bear to walk in heels), but totally doubting the safety of the driver.

14. Spread a blanket out on Newell Field or in the West Village quad, and enjoy the last lazy days before the semester kicks in.

15. Spend way too much money in the Union store, because a new year calls for more school clothing and decorations... right?

16. Being slightly taken aback when the Stephens' clock tower rings on the hour.

17. Checking out what new construction is going on (because you know it's always something).

18. Grab a hot chocolate or coffee in the Union, and watch an intramural sport on Burdock Field.

19. Visit the Starbucks on the corner of York Road all too often.

20. Get your body reacquainted with late night pizza from Pizza Palace, Seasons, or Pizans.

21. Watch all the trees change color in front of Stephens Hall; with all that brick and old architecture, it looks like a scene out of every college movie.

22. Even if heading back to school means essays and exams, you don't need a specific reason, because it's just nice to be back in Tiger Town.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
