23 Signs You're The Youngest Sibling

You're awesome.

23 Signs You're The Youngest Sibling

As the youngest sibling, it’s hard to make a name for yourself. People tend to know about you through your older sibling(s) and their accomplishments or failures. However, being the youngest sibling means your parents have gone through it all before, so it’s way easier to get away with breaking the rules here and there. Your older siblings taught you how to keep it real and keep it cool when your friends in middle school were freaking out over boy bands and gauchos. If you’re the youngest child in your family, then you can probably relate to these 23 things.

  1. You get everything you want because you know how to milk it.
  2. It’s a lot harder to get in trouble whether you get a speeding ticket or miss curfew.
  3. You learn how to be chill at an earlier age.
  4. You already know people when you start high school.
  5. Your first crush is your older brother’s or sister’s friend.
  6. You have multiple chauffeurs.
  7. Half of your wardrobe is hand-me-downs.
  8. You get all of their old tests and homework.
  9. You're great at getting out of placing the blame on other people.
  10. You get way more attention.
  11. But, your parents are way less nervous about what you’re doing.
  12. You get the hook ups (if you know what I mean).
  13. You know how to push everyone's buttons, which makes it easy to get out of chores.
  14. You've heard "don't tell mom" a million times and you know how to use it to your advantage.
  15. High school teachers already know who you are.
  16. You’re often referred to as “Little (insert last name here)”
  17. You’ve been tricked into being your older sibling’s servant for a day.
  18. Sharing a bathroom is the bane of your existence.
  19. But, it made living in a dorm room a lot easier.
  20. You’re super protective of your food.
  21. From a young age, you’re used to getting beaten up by your older brother.
  22. But, now you know how to hold your own in future fights.
  23. As a kid, you wanted a younger sibling of your own. But now, you’re feeling blessed.

All in all, you probably love being the youngest, and you know you wouldn't be as cool as you are now without the guidance of your brother(s)/sister(s).The pros of being the youngest definitely outweigh the cons.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
