When you find that person you're meant to spend the rest of your life with, it doesn't necessarily mean it's your love interest/significant other. The person you cant live without; that's your soul mate. Sometimes, if you get lucky like me, your soul mate is your best friend.

My relationship with my best friend started like any good friendship...I hated her. But almost 10 years later, here we are; I can't live without her.

We are more than just best friend goals. Here's why:

We can go weeks without seeing each other

But we are always able to pick up where we were last.

We hype each other up

My best friend is my #1 fan.

Our text conversations are hilarious

We both probably look like crazy people smiling at our phone in the middle of lectures, but we are pretty damn funny.

We have our own language

No one understands us. That's okay, though. "Freene, Fernicus, Benders"

Tagging each other in memes is a daily routine

And then saying, "Omg this is so you."

We get jealous/mad about other friends

Being introduced to a new friend and looking at them like...

When they say they already have plans

But you don't have very many friends so you just sit there like...

We have no secrets

We have no filter. We tell each other EVERYTHING.

We have the worst fights

I love her, even when I hate her. We tell each other we are never going to speak ever again, but an hour later we are like, "I miss you, come back."

We are a part of each others family

We hear, "Did you see what your grandma commented on my picture?" a little too much.

Our dance parties

I still don't know how she twerks so well.

She is my person

My emergency contact and the person who's in charge of my social media account if I die.

We are complete opposites

But that's what makes us great.

She is patient

Because I can be a little extra sometimes.

She's the only person who can calm me down

When I have my mental breakdowns, she's my go-to. And the only person who can tell me I'm being crazy.

She's the first person I tell if I'm going on a date

I tell her his name and where I'm going, just incase I die and no one knows where I am.

We have really cheesy moments

Our friendship revolves around writing cheesy letters and drunk crying in the bathroom about how much we love each other and how lucky we are to have one another as a best friend. - "If someone saw this right now, they'd think we are gay."

I can't live without her

Even though most of the time I come off strong.

We read each others minds

When someone is saying something to us that is complete b.s. and we give each other a "look" or hit each other under the table.

We know we are going to grow old together

Old and bitter. Until death do us part.

Our bfs/gfs 3rd wheel us

No comment necessary.

The maid of honor

There is no one else I want by my side on the best day of my life.

We do nothing together

And it's the best time of our lives. "Want to come over and do nothing?"

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
