Since being in college I've noticed myself not only procrastinating (a lot), but also reverting back to my favorite items from my childhood. Just recently, one of my favorite childhood movies, "The Land Before Time," has been added to Netflix. Of course my roommates and I went out of our way to watch it, and I found myself noticing a few scenes that reminded me all to well of what college is like.
1. Trying to get up for class.
With the help of your roommate, of course. It's just unsuccessful every single day.
2. Getting into your bed.
Whether it's a nap after class or tucking in at the end of the day, nothing beats this feeling.
3. When you go to the dining hall.
Honestly, you are Spike in every situation. Don't worry though, I'm not judging.
4. Quality time with your roommate.
Because roommate snuggles are the best kind of snuggles.
5. Leaving your last class on a Friday.
Arriving at the weekend really does feel like arriving to the great valley. Finally.
6. When you're overwhelmed with assignments.
Please. make. it. stop.
7. When someone reminds you of an exam.
Ignorance is bliss, until you realize the exam is tomorrow...and you haven't even cracked open your book...and its almost midnight.
8. When you realize your whole life is a mess.
No really, it's fine. I'm fine. Just my weekly (or daily) mental breakdown.
9.When you think you're ready for the exam.
But you get there and realize you weren't as prepared as you thought.
10. When you get a package or letter.
Finally! Someone cares! I hope it's money!
11. When you miss your parents.
Being on your own is fun and all... but we all get those days occasionally.
12. When the professor is offering bonus points.
Can I take them all? Please?
13. When your alarm goes off in the morning.
Please, just five more minutes... or hours... or days.
14. Being assigned a group project.
This is the reaction that I wish would be appropriate to do in class.
15. Trying to save your grades.
Nothing really helps though. You can just accept your defeat.
16. Thinking about your best friend back home.
Counting down the days until you can see them again.
17. Seeing your roommate after being home.
I missed you, I love you, never leave again. Then proceeding to share everything they missed.
18. Leaving your last final.
Finally free. No more assignments. No more stress.
19. Trying to be an adult.
But you really just can't, and you need mother.
20. When you show up at the party.
"I'm here everyone!"
21. Before you've had your morning coffee.
No. I can't. And I would like you not to either until I've finished my coffee. Or just not at all.
22. When your parents come to visit you.
Hi! Did you bring me any food? Oh also, I'm really glad you're here, I missed you.
