Whether you grew up together, went your separate ways for college, or are summer camp besties, missing your person can be extremely challenging. Having that one individual who knows you better than you know yourself live hundreds if not thousands of miles away can be the most painful thing to experience, but you know what they say... Absence makes the heart grow fonder!

1. Weekly FaceTime dates keep you sane.

2. If you go an hour without texting, something is seriously off.

3. You're always planning future vacations and weekend trips to see each other.

4. The time you spend together is all the more valuable because you understand what it feels like to miss each other.

5. You have someone on the outside to talk to who will offer completely genuine and honest advice because she doesn't know the people involved.

6. Nonetheless, you know her friends extremely well, and she knows your friends even better simply by the amount of detail you provide each other with.

7. Whether its 12:00pm or 3:00am, she's always a phone call away no matter what.

8. Drunk texting each other is the next best thing to actually being at the same party.

9. You become closer than ever because if your friendship can survive distance, it can survive anything.

10. She's the first person you want to call at the end of the day so you can catch her up on everything.

11. There are no secrets and nothing about you she doesn't know, and she loves you anyway.

12. You brainstorm every text to your crush with her before sending it, and if it doesn't have her approval, mission averted.

13. She is the first person you talk to in the morning and the last person you say goodnight to.

14. Having no service is the biggest struggle when you always strive to be in constant communication with each other.

15. You have serious FOMO when she posts Instagram pictures that you're not in.

16. But when she posts a sappy throwback with you, you're suddenly hit with all the feels.

17. It's hard for other people to understand how you're so close.

18. So close as in you send each other dressing room mirror selfies and edit each other's pictures on the daily.

19. When she's having a bad day, you stop everything and go into full crisis mode because you can't be there in person.

20. You can basically hear her laugh when she texts "Haha"

21. At the end of the day, you know without a shadow of a doubt that you'll always be reunited, and someday, you're going to be each other's bridesmaids. Your each other's lifeline!
