Thoughts You Have During A Road Trip

Road trips can be fun, but they can also be really long. Sometimes you're going 65 miles and hour all the way to your destination. Other times, you go 12.4 miles and hour, with the sun shining in your eyes. All that truly matters is the people you are with and that you have a smile across your face. Getting to your destination, no matter how long or tedious the drive may be, is always worth it. Whether your road trip is five hours, eight hours, or even eleven hours long; I'm sure you have experienced a few of these thoughts have popped into your head while you were on the road. Happy travels!

1. Why didn't I pee before we left?

2. That gas station looks sketchy, let's just wait until the next one.

3. I love this song.

4. I wonder if it's comfortable to ride a motorcycle for six hours straight...

5. Why is this truck trying to cut us off?

6. One of these days I'm going to call the "how is my truck driver doing" phone number.

7. Why didn't we just fly?

8. I'm running out of snacks, oh no!

9. Why did I forget my sunglasses?

10. How do people survive living in the middle of nowhere?

11. Some of these cities we are passing have really weird names.

12. I wish we were there already!

13. Why am I having a sneeze attack right now? This feels dangerous.

14. Why do the radio stations have to change?

15. I need to stretch my legs, or they are going to go numb.

16. I hope we make it in time!

17. Can someone take over the wheel for a bit? I need a break.

18. I want to go pee, but I also don't want to go in a gross bathroom. Decisions, decisions.

19. I miss my bed.

20. This better be worth it.

21. Are we there yet?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
