Transitioning from high school to college is exciting because we are crossing new uncharted territories, but at the same time it's terrifying because, let's be real, who's actually prepared to be completely on their own in a strange town essentially starting life all over again? No matter whether you go to school one hour away from home or twelve hours, I have found that we are all breaking boundaries. Altogether, college means freedom and with freedom comes responsibility; something that most of us don't really have much of. However, college is bliss, it's the beginning of a new era in life with endless possibilities. With that being said here are 21 thoughts that every freshmen has first semester of college:

Week 1:

1. I'm at camp and my parents are picking me up in a week.

2. What is a syllabus and why does it have a week named after it?

3. Yes, mom, this is my fourth night of going out but it's okay - it's syllabus week.

Week 2:

4. Syllabus week is over; from now on I will not miss any classes.

Week 4:

5. I think I have strep, the flu, and I've just been diagnosed with the plague.

6. I studied for that test for 5 hours how did I only get a 70?

All Semester Long:

7. I know I have a test tomorrow, but it's bar night.

8. Really regretting going out last night...

Week 8:

9. Okay, it's time to get my life together right about now.

10. I haven't slept in forty-four hours somebody kill me.

Week 10:

11. I got an A on my test! GOD IS REAL!

12. I've been looking for people as weird as me my whole life and I've finally found them!

Also All Semester Long:

13. I think I met my husband.

14. ...Nevermind.

Week 12:

15. I thought I was poor before, and then I came to college.

16. THAT'S IT I'M DROPPING OUT.

Thanksgiving Break:

17. I missed my bed more than I missed my parents, tbh.

18. I'm ready to go back to college.

Week 13:

19. I have all A's and B's, there's hope for me!

Finals Week:

20. I need a 230% on my final to get a B in the class, AWESOME.

21. That's it? How did I just finish my first semester of college?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
