21 Things To Thank Your College Roommates For

College is the first time you will have roommates other than your family and your dog, and they say you really don’t know someone until you live with them. That being said, there are a lot of things you should thank your roommates for!

1. Thanks for cleaning up after me.

2. Thanks for not making me wear pants.

3. Thanks for opening up not only your toaster oven but your closet to me.

4. Thanks for getting me home when I forgot where we lived.

5. Thanks for letting me sleep with you in your bed when I needed it most.

6. In addition to that, thanks for the endless snuggles.

7. Thanks for always letting me lick the bowl when you make cookies.

8. Thanks for driving me to/from class when I couldn’t find the strength to walk.

9. Thanks for still being my friend despite the weird sh*t you’ve seen me do behind closed doors.

10. Thanks for still loving me even after I ate your leftover pizza.

11. Thanks for letting me in the two or two dozen times I forgot my keys.

12. Thanks for bathing me when I couldn’t do it on my own.

13. Thanks for choosing a movie night with me over Chaser’s on a Thursday night.

14. Thanks for being my therapists.

15. Thanks for watching the Bachelor/Bachelorette with me every Monday at 7 p.m. sharp.

16. Thanks for getting Chipotle with me... every day...

17. Thanks for not making me clean my room when we’re having people over (cough cough MOM).

18. Thanks for not getting mad that I shed more than a golden retriever

19. Thanks for cleaning up my vomit, I owe you.

20. Thanks for crying it out with me.

21. Thanks for being you!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
