1. Cherish the time you have with your family because they won’t be here forever

2. Don’t waste your time worrying about what others think of you, because I promise they don’t care as much as you think they do

3. Friends will come and go because a person’s true colors always end up showing

4. The heartbreaks are worth it in the end once you find the one you’re meant to be with

5. Live in the moment rather than posting everything you do on social media; the memories are what matter, not the views and likes

6. Don’t forget to say, "I love you"

7. You have to be happy with yourself before you can be happy with someone else

8. High school goes by quicker than you think, and college even faster

9. Don’t wish away your childhood and teenage-years, because you will miss them

10. You don’t have to decide what you want to do with your life when you’re 18 - you’re allowed to change your mind

11. Your parents want what’s best for you even if you might not realize that now, but you will thank them later

12. Put in the effort in high school because before you know it, you’ll be applying to colleges wishing you had focused a little more

13. Don’t spend your time wishing for a boyfriend/girlfriend just because your friends have one; when it’s time, you will find them

14. If the people you’re hanging out with just want to get drunk, party, and not remember their weekends, find new friends

15. Keep in touch with old friends, because a lot changes when everyone goes to college

16. If your parents and your friends don’t like someone you’re dating, there's a reason

17. Spending a night with your parents to get dinner, watch a movie, etc., will make them happier than you know

18. You never know what someone else is going through, so smile at a stranger because it could make their day

19. Moving out might seem like the best thing ever, but don’t rush it

20. Don’t change your beliefs and values just to fit in with a crowd

21. Don’t end a conversation on a bad note; you never know when you’ll see someone for the last time

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
