21 Reasons to Come See Godspell

On April 6th, 7th, 8th, & 9th, at 8 PM (and 2PM on the 9th) the Misericordia Players will be putting on Godspell, or as I like to call it, The Gospel of Saint Matthew in a toe-tapping musical form. Not yet sure if you want to come? Here are 21 reasons why you should see Godspell

1. Because the amazing Michaela starts the show

Wherefore, oh men of Athens!

2. To see Adam tap dance

Well, you know, before he betrays Jesus and everything

3. Because Sam is the light of the world

Let's have some wine! Whoo!

4. To hear Cordell sing about love

#webeseechthee

5. To see Amy play Pictionary!

6. To see Jess's Trump impression

"You're fired!"

7. To see Emily philosophize

That's totally a word, right?

8. Because Princess Megan said so

#bymyside

9. To see Jacob in his underwear*

*Sorry, ladies, he's taken

10. To see Jackie be a Pharisee

Except she's actually nice and totally not scary in real life

11. To hear Aiden sing the low notes

13. To see Lauren's sweet moves

#dancecaptain

14. To hear Maddie sing a VERY high note

What's higher than a high C? A high C#!

18. To see Kali learn her left from right

"Ohhh, the sheep on his RIGHT!"

19. To see Steph roll around on stage

Definitely the coolest one in the show

20. To see Michaela learn her lessons well

Proud Mary style

21. And to see me play a bunch of musical instruments

It's basically a different one every scene

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating.
