Two decades have taught me a lot. I have made countless memories, shared laughs, and made many lasting relationships. I have learned how to be unapologetically me, care tremendously for others, and the art of making mistakes. I am still working on fully living out all of these realizations, but I think there is beauty in understanding how to live and be present in life. These aren't guidelines, but I have found these realizations make life a little more meaningful.

1. Do what you love.

2. You're never going to have all of the answers.

3. Allow yourself to be spontaneous.

4. Happiness has different definitions, so find the people/things that light your soul on fire.

5. In order to be honest with others you need to be honest with yourself first.

6. You deserve to be unapologetically you.

7. It's okay not to be okay.

8. Don't sit back and wait for things to happen.

9. You are enough.

10. Positivity can be found in everything, even when times seem so dark.

11. Don't be afraid to dive first into the unknown.

12. Kindness has no boundaries and limitations.

13. You have the potential to make someone smile.

14. Live life for yourself.

15. Tell your loved ones how appreciated they are.

16. Life is bursting with opportunity and potential.

17. Open your heart to other peoples experiences and viewpoints because everyone deserves respect and understanding.

18. Allow time for self reflection.

19. You are allowed to stay no. It doesn't make you a bad person.

20. It is okay to ask for help.

21. You are not perfect and that is okay.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
