Everyone who attends the University of North Texas knows how great this hidden gem is. The coffee shops alone make Denton the best college town in Texas. Despite having some great burger joints and an awesome town square, many people are clueless when it comes to UNT and Denton in general. I'm sure every student has gotten a mini-interrogation after telling a friend or family member that they attend UNT. Here are just a few of the questions I get asked whenever I proudly announce where I attend college.

NO, I did not.

Denton, Texas.
4. Where is Denton?
*sigh*
5. Is Denton right next to Dallas?
If by "right next to" you mean 45 minutes away. Then, yes.
6. Is Denton boring?
No, your question is boring.
7. What do you do on the weekends?
What do YOU do on the weekends?
8. Do you go home a lot?
I go home when I want to go home.
9. If you go to UNT, are you a music major?
Haha, no.
10. Did you know that UNT has the best music program in the state?
Really? I had no idea.
11. Why aren’t you a music major there?
Turns out UNT actually offers other majors.
12. Why do you go UNT if you aren’t music major?
To get a college education. Is that okay with you?
13. If you aren’t a music major, what are you majoring in?
Just one of the 100 other majors that UNT offers.
14. Does UNT have a football team?
Of course. Just not a very good one.
15. Is UNT really small?
I mean it's the third largest university in Texas. But sure. We're "small."
16. Is UNT like UT?
Not at all.

As it turns out, Texas has a lot of cities that aren't close to Denton, and I live in one of those.
