You better start saving up because 2018 is going to be an incredible year for action movie lovers. With a mix of new series and continuations of existing storylines, this year is packed full of movies that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat. Keep an eye out for these nine movies as they come out in theaters this year.
1. Black Panther
Good news: this movie is already out in theaters! It was released on February 16th, 2018 and pulled in $25. 2 million on its opening night, nearly doubling the previous February box record. It is already taking the world by storm, seeing as it is Marvel's first movie with a predominately black cast. Definitely check this one out as soon as you can!
2. Red Sparrow
Based off a book by Jason Matthews, this film is about a Russian spy who falls for an American CIA officer. Her allegiance is compromised and she considers becoming a double agent. This action-packed movie is set to be released on March 2nd, 2018, so grab some friends and head flock to the theaters.
3. Ready Player One
Ready Player One is based on the science fiction novel by Ernest Cline that came out in 2011. The story takes place in the dystopian society of 2044 where Wade Watts enters a virtual reality in search of an Easter Egg that has been hidden inside. Be ready on March 29th, 2018, when this comes out. This is one you won't want to miss.
4. Avengers: Infinity War
Personally, I am dying to see this because the iconic Avengers are teaming up with my favorite Marvel team, the Guardians of the Galaxy, to prevent Thanos from collecting all of the Infinity Stones. The first part of this movie is scheduled to come out May 4th, 2018 with the second part being released May 3rd, 2019. Catch me at the theater opening night for this one!
5. Deadpool 2
If you liked the first one, you're going to love the second one. It's being referred to as The Untitled Deadpool Sequel because it hasn't been given an official title yet. This sequel comes to theaters on May 18th, 2018, so make sure you get your tickets early to see your favorite wise-cracking superhero.
6. Solo: A Star Wars Story
The famous Star Wars franchise has come out with another movie featuring Hans Solo in his youth. This stand-alone installment will portray the story of Hans and Chewbacca and their adventures, prior to the events of the previous films. This movie will be released on May 25th, 2018. This is one to mark on your calendar!
7. The Incredibles 2
Blast to the past with this film from your childhood. The sequel to the 2004 Incredibles is coming out June 15th, 2018. The nostalgia hits hard with this one as we've been waiting for over a decade for it to come out. Watch as this family of supers makes a comeback into theaters with their exciting new film where they discover the loveable Jack-Jack shares the family trait of super abilities. It's going to be incredible.

This sequel to Ant-Man is being released on July 6th, 2018. The premise of this movie is Scott Lang learning to balance his fatherly responsibilities with his duties as Ant-Man. He teams up with the Wasp in order to take on a new mission that may bring things back from their past. Keep a spot open in your schedule for this dynamic duo.
