Every winter Fashion takes over New York City and tells us what the designers of the world are thinking for fashion in 2016. As Fashion Week has come to an end we can now see many of the new trends that emerged on the runways. Here is what you'll want to be wearing this year.
Fur
Fur was used all over the runways this season, but all in different ways. Many designers utilized fur in their collections yet all of them put their own spin on the classic staple. Rodarte featured feathery fur coats, Yeezy Season 3 had us floored with floor-length mink coats, and Marc Kor's dazzled with unique floral pastel fur jackets.
B&W
This classic look was spotted all over the runways this season. Vera Wang displayed a stunningly minimalist collection that showed the power of simplicity in fashion with mostly black and white looks. The look wasn't just seen in the clothes but also the styling. Rihanna's debut collection with Fenty for Puma not only featured cool black and white looks but also featured a bold styling choice of striking white roots and a bold black lip.
Western
Western inspired looks mean leather, fringe and lots of suede. Fashion designers such as Alexander Wang, Polo Ralph Lauren and Simon Millertook the western style and put a modern spin on it. The style was featured in many different ways from cute dresses to floor length dresses that dazzle with detail and sharp and modern suites.A little or a Lot of Shine
Metallics of every shade shined on multiple runways this season as designers utilized hard metals and metallic prints to create a beautiful movement down the runway. Marc Jacob's featured looks reminiscent of armor while Victoria Beckham and Maiyet featured fabrics that flowed while still holding that metallic shine.
