As fall approaches, it is obvious that Apple will introduce their innovations into the market as they do every fall. After months of speculation of the new products and rumors, Apple have presented their new products on 9/9. Along with the iPad Pro sub-selling the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard, they also introduced the new iPhone 6s, Apple TV.
iPhone 6S
This new phone in the iPhone series are very much similar to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus as their screen size options are very much the same: 4.7 and 5.5-inch display. The only much noticeable physical feature that stands out is the new color, rose gold, where I think it is selling more of a pink tone than an actual rose gold. The primary focus of the 6S series is their new programming and camera quality. It also premieres 3D touch and the A9 chip. 3D Touch, which is formally known as ”Force Touch”, allows its user to use gesture on the screen to access contents, such as text messages, emails, calendar, photos, and much more. This is all powered by the new Apple custom-designed 64-bit A9 chip, delivering the top performance possible with a 70% faster CPU performance and 90% faster GPU, allowing enhanced performance for games and apps. Since the idea of smartphones including camera has been introduced, it has changed our lives capturing photos and memories much simple. This new and improved camera provides a 12-megapixel camera along with a new 5-megapixel front facing camera. So say hello to better pictures, better selfies, and pink phones!
Apple TV
Say Hi to Siri again, because the new Apple TV is here. There is not a significant difference in what this Apple TV has to offer - it still streams photos, music, shows, etc. from devices and accounts. But, the idea of this concept has shifted to where it allows consumers to enjoy the experience even more. Still streaming from apps like HBO NOW, WatchEPSN, our favorite Netflix, Hulu, and iTunes. With this, Apple has taken this idea of streaming and created a new operating system for Apple TV, tvOS, a redesigned interface with its primary focus, allowing consumers to connect to the screen and use Siri to search for something to watch just from the remote. Another plus, the remote enables you to play games from the remote to your TV! In this day and age, it is all about what entertainment has to offer us just from the seats of our couch. Apps will not only continually change our life through our phones but along with television.
iPad Pro
After so many years of just the simple iPad, adored due to its simplicity and unique experience, Apple introduces the iPad Pro. With a 12.9 inch Retina display that features the highest resolution of all the iOS devices has to offer, they also have reengineered the Multi-Touch system allowing users to interact much more expansively and freely. Also integrated with a new chip, A9X, claiming to be double the CPU performance compared to the iPad 2, allowing better performance for games and applications. This slim and light new iPad can either works well without an add-on or along with its two new accessories, the Apple Pencil, and the Smart Keyboard.
Apple Pencil is built with sensitivity sensors, so while Pencil interacts with the iPad Pro, it catches all the different strokes from pressure sensors of how much force is implied (press lightly with Pencil for brief strokes, harder for wider strokes, tilt for shading), just like any writing instrument. To charge this, simply take off the cap of the Pencil, revealing a lightning connector, and plug it into the Pro. At full charge, it allows you 12 hours of use, while at a simple 15 seconds of charging allows 30 minutes of battery life.
To allow even more ease of using the Pro, the Smart Keyboard, allowing you to switch from using just the tablet or as a computer once it’s connected with the keyboard. Just like any keyboard for a tablet, this new item highlights the craftsmanship of its durable fabric providing tensions to each key, providing accuracy as you type. Since it is seamless with no gaps on the keyboard, and due to the fabric, it is water and stain resistant. To connect, just match up the Smart connectors found on the left side of the Pro and three metal balls on the keyboard.
