Just recenetly I turned 20 and in leaving my teens I realized that being 20 is quite weird. So here are 20 weird things about turning twenty:

1. You are no longer a teenager, but not quite an adult.

2. You still can't legally drink.

3. Age differences now seem much more significant.

4. People are more willing to drink with you (It hasn't stopped you so far).

5. There are celebrities and geniuses your age and younger who are worth and have accomplished more

6. You've been an adult for two years but are you really?

7. People you went to high school with are married now.

8. People you've known your entire life have joined unions.

9. Kids younger than you have three kids.

10. I say kids because you still are a kid.

11. Do any of your friends really know how to adult?

12. Your ancestors were married by now...you think you should be too but like, no.

13. If you go to college you probably still live at home with on and off periods.

14. You still think grocery shopping is weird but you still do it.

15. You finally know "the ropes".

16. You wanna start dating other people in your twenties.

17. (But you still can't legally drink).

18. Your whole birthday is just weird now... you feel old.

19. You're getting closer to your dreams!

20. You've been alive for two whole decades, lived through four presidents and that's weird.

You feel like an adult but you still aren't sure if you qualify. This whole age is just being stuck in the middle, but you're finally out of your teens and much closer to your dreams. Just another awkward stage to get through. You got this, I believe in you lovely. Rock your twenties.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
