20 Times Drake Gave Us Eargasms

And we loved every single one.

20 Times Drake Gave Us Eargasms

According to a friend of mine, Drake can be broken down into three categories: Lovey Dovey Drake, Hard AF Rapper Drake and the Drizzy that makes you dance. In all of these categories, Drake has done one thing: blessed our ears with every feature, single, mixtape and album dropped!

Here, I broke it down and listed out some of the many times Drake won us over.

LOVEY DOVEY DRAKE:

1. "Best I Ever Had" - So Far Gone

Hands down had to be the first on this list. This was the first single we ever heard by Drizzy himself. And dang, did it put him on our radar! Right off the bat we get this super hot raspy voice coming through the speakers and once we get past that beautifully rugged voice, the words he’s speaking start processing and it's a dedication! Then the beat changes and the chorus starts and we are all goners.

2. "Heat of the Moment"

We’ve all been there. When you’re in the moment with your significant other and everything is so clear yet so fumbled in your head, but you don't want anything to distract you or pull you away from this moment... something like bliss.

3. "Own It" - Nothing Was the Same

Ever wanted to give your all to someone, so much so that you’re basically begging them to take it? Yeah, Drake did too.

4. "Marvin's Room" - Take Care

We all have the one night, maybe a few, where we hit momentary weakness, (blame it on the alcohol.) Where we hit up a past lover or maybe a hopeful one, and then read over the texts, see the call history and completely regret life the next morning. Oops.

5. "Come Thru" - Nothing Was the Same

Rekindling things with "the one that got away," Drizzy hit home. Admit it, we all have someone we'd backslide for. You know who they are, so why not tell them #ComeThru? Drake did.

HARD AF RAPPER DRAKE:

6. "Over" - Thank Me Later

It was so far from over. Here was Drake’s warning, he was here to stay. After falling in love with his cute little love ballad Best I Ever Had, we get this Drake 2.0 and he was hard AF. And of course, we only embraced it and fell even more in love with him. Not only was he a super cute romantic, but he was this super confident, (some would say cocky,) rapper. *heart eyes*

7. "The Motto" - Take Care

#YOLO has become a cultural artifact for this generation. The name Drake has forever made its mark on us millennials and more than likely, our children and we're proud.

8. "Back to Back"

Meek Mill v Drizzy. Lol sorry Meek, Drake obviously squashed that ishhh real quick with this little number. Safe to say he was Charged Up.

9. "6 God" - If You're Reading This It's Too Late

If Drake is good at anything, it's his ability to make you feel like you’re on top of the world and every thing else is just white noise. You're the King. Everyone else can bow down.

10. "Pop Style" - Views

But don’t think for a second he forgot who really is king. If you thought he did, well here you go.

DANCE DRIZZY:

11. "Take Care (feat. Rihanna)" - Take Care

After the first time Drake and RiRi teamed up, all we wanted was more. And here it was, wrapped up in lyrics and a beat that made us slowly start with the bob of the head, until eventually, our whole body is moving to the beat.

12. "One Dance" - Views

Off his newest album, Views. I'm so biased towards this one, it was love at first listen. Drake on top of a latin-esque beat? Uhm? Yasssss! The Latina in me only fell more in love. (Most played song on my phone at the moment) #noshame

13. "With You (feat. PARTYNEXTDOOR)" - Views

Anotha one off of Views. I was instantly hooked. “Where am I going?” Nowhere, Drake, if that's about us, no where.

14. "Too Good (feat. Rihanna)" - Views

The song that probably spoke to all of us. When you're in that weird friend stage after a failed attempt at a relationship, and you're just missing what was and what could've been? Yeah, we've all been there. But then, you hit the breaking point and you realize that no, you gave your best. You deserve more. So go on with yo bad self!

15. "Hotline Bling"

Of course, the song that basically broke the internet with all the memes, vines and parodies. Drake, his sweater, and his dance movies had us all getting down.

HOT FEATURES:

16. "I'm On One (feat. Drake, Rick Ross & Lil Wayne)" - DJ Khaled

Life is a breeze when you’re feeling yourself and life is too good to get bothered by the little things. “I’m On One” quickly became a part of my everyday vocabulary, so thank you Drake.

17. "F**kin' Problems (feat. Drake, 2 Chainz & Kendrick Lamar)" - A$AP Rocky

Anything containing Drake, Kendrick, A$AP and 2 Chains is about to be fire and we all know it. I’m sure for some of you this was your anthem before a wild night out with your woes. (Guilty!)

18. "No New Friends [feat. Drake, Rick Ross, & Lil Wayne]" - DJ Khaled

Drizzy, always comin' in clutch to remind us to stick to your "Day Ones" forever. They are the ones that will be there through the thick and thin. Words of wisdom, #NoNewFriends

19. "Odio (feat. Drake)" - Romeo Santos

Remember that one time our beloved Drake teamed up with Romeo Santos and surprised us all by singing in Spanish on this track? I do, and it was straight gold.

20. "Only (feat. Drake, Lil Wayne & Chris Brown)" - Nicki Minaj

Last but not least, Drake teamed up with, (arguably), the baddest female in the rap industry, Nicki Minaj. And then proceeded to kill it with his verse in her song, admitting yet again, how down he is for some Nicki lovin’.

So there you go, 20 times Drake straight killed it, and it's only going to get better.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

The Importance Of Being A Good Person

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
