20 Times Arrested Development Defined Summer Break
The 15 Best Episodes of Arrested Development (Seasons 1-3)

Summer break is almost upon on us and it can take many different forms for all of us. Maybe you'll be traveling or working in a new city for a dream internship, but there are a few universal truths when it comes to summer vacation: it's a time for rest and it's also a time to say goodbye. Maybe you're saying goodbye to your sleep deprived self or to your senior friends who are graduating. The point is, no matter how you're spending your break or where you're spending it, you can always relate to the characters of "Arrested Development" throughout the whole season.

1. Before officially leaving campus you're sad to say bye

Even if you'll be with your old friends from high school or meeting up with college friends, saying bye (even if temporarily) is hard.

2. Once you get back home you immediately sleep

Oh sleep, that beautiful, evil temptress.

3. And after a few days of sleeping in, you meet up with family and friends.

"So, what'd you learn?!" Your mom's best friend's neighbour, Linda, cackles as you dig into food that isn't from the caf.

4. But paradise slowly slips away as your family begins to wake you up before noon each day

Hell hath no mercy.

5. You finally begin unpacking your boxes and your parents question what you own

Every prize is important, even if it's just a sheet of paper from your professor that says, "Congrats on passing".

6. And even as time passes you're still excited to see your bffs

Even though all you say to each other is, "What do you wanna do?" "I don't know, what do you wanna do?" for hours.

7. Whenever you're in public with said friends, you get judgemental looks from townspeople.

Don't be hatin'.

8. But sometimes you get embarrassed, but you can't help it because you're just so excited to be home.

There's no shame in being happy though, right?

9. More time passes and you find yourself at home far too often.

10. As you internalize everything you begin to question far too much.

Summer is for fun, not for an existential crisis.

11. Yet the questioning of everything follows you around.

12. And when you're family catches you in this slump you feel all their comments are meant to hurt you.

But you brush it off as you binge-watch another series on Netflix.

13. When it comes to chores, you just seem to let people down.

No one needs to go to the store when you can order pizza online.

14. Yet you continue to say, "Yeah mom, I totally cleaned the house" as you still lie in bed.

15. And just like in college, you only seem to move about when food is promised.

16. You also begin to incorporate the Netflix shows you've been watching into your life.

Too many references, too little time.

17. You realize that you haven't seen the sun in days.

And more importantly, you have to wait another year for the next season of 'Broadchurch' to be on Netflix.

18. After a few weeks, you've successfully rekindled your relationships with everyone at home.

Pulling pranks on your parents with your siblings beats missing campus every time.

19. Each time you walk into your room you sense something has moved.

Does your family not understand that everything is in a particular place?!

20. Sooner or later it's time to go back to college.

You have mixed emotions because you remembered how much you love home, but you know you're excited for the next year with all your friends.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
