20 Thoughts You Have While Going To Class At ECU

Every dreaded Friday morning,  the student body at ECU has a decision to make: to go to class or not to go.

Depending on the scent of alcohol and regret on your breath or the PB's wristband on your wrist- last night could have been the best or worst night of your life. Will the teacher notice I'm hungover? Will I make it there on time? Do I have time for coffee?

Here's a list of thoughts you'll have while walking to class at ECU:

1. I wish this class was canceled.

2. Wait why am I even going to class?

3. I hope people don't notice this is my makeup from last night.

....And my clothes.

4. When was the last time I showered?

5. I hope I don't run into the guy whose shirt I'm wearing.

6. And what was his name again?

7. Where's my phone?

And my dignity.

8. Is it acceptable to keep these sunglasses on during class?

9. Did I forget to take off my PB's wristband... and Halfway... and 5th?

...Yes. Yes I did.

10. I wonder if the teacher will notice me leave to go vom.

11. If I see one more freshman wearing purple...

12. Do I have time to go to Starbucks?

13. Whatever, I can be a few minutes late.

14. Take one look at me, yes, a venti is necessary.

15. Did I do my homework?

16. I'm going to be at least 5 minutes late, 10 if this freshman in front of me doesn't walk a little quicker.

17. Should I even go?

...No I have to go I'm almost there.

18. Why aren't the lights on? Where is everyone? I guess I should check my e-mail...

19. CLASS IS CANCELED?! I got up for a 12 o'clock class that was cancelled?

20. Well... since I'm up, might as well go to Supdogs.

Of course, these all replay in your head every single week with the same miserable hangover you regret... but not really.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
