Are you a college freshman?

Ever wonder what if others are thinking the same things as you?

I know I have. Being out on your own for the first time can be a little scary, especially if it's the first time you've been away from home for a long period of time. Well here's a list of 20 things that all freshman have thought during their first semester at some point or another that will have you saying, "and I thought I was the only one who felt that way!"

Just remember, you're not alone!

1. "Am I feeling just as lost as everyone else, or is it just me?"

2. When signing up for classes for the next semester,"Ugh, now I have to redo my entire schedule because the class I want no longer has seats available."

This was my least favorite part of being one of the last people to be able to register for classes.

3. "Ahhh, I have 5 minutes till I need to leave for class"

4. "Should I change my major?/ I'm not really sure I want to study (Insert major here) anymore."

5. "Do I really need to buy another shirt that represents my school?"

And this is followed by "ehh, one more won't hurt."

6. "Honestly I'm just here for the free food/t-shirt/other items."

7. " Oooh, that test was easy."

"Oh, maybe I didn't do as well as I thought I had".

8."Only a few more days 'til I'm home!!!!"

For those that go to school either out of state or in a different city a few hours away.

9. About an 8 a.m. final, "This is the earliest I have woken up in almost 5 months."

10. "I didn't think I would do as well as I did here."

11. "The first semester went by really fast."

And along the way, I have made many new friends and done many new things.

12. "I should not have been so nervous about the first day of classes."

13. "I am going to miss my new friends."

Sadly, yes. But I get to see all my other friends and my family in my hometown.

14. "Wait, so I don't have an actual final in this class?"

15."Wow, the first semester flew by so quickly and half of my first year is done already."

16. "Do I really want to be apart of Greek life?"

If you're not sure at the current time, you can always do it next year.

17. "Man, I missed good home cooking."

Most average college students (that live in the dorms) either eat out for every meal or go to their dining hall, which usually has the same stuff every day.

18. "I LOVE college!!"

You have realized that this new experience has been great for you and you're having the time of your life.

19. "Is this breakfast or lunch???"

When you can wake up closer to noon on the days you don't have morning classes and not sure if what you are eating counts for breakfast or lunch.

20. And finally, "I've survived my first semester of college."

You may not have thought you could do it at first but hey, you did!!!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
