College peeps: you know what I'm talking about. I can't even tell you how many times these thoughts pop up in my head. The struggle is super real, and we wonder why we ever got in this mess. Although school is a pain in the neck sometimes, it's all worth it in the end. I bet you'll miss it the second you receive that diploma.

So, while it lasts for all of us, let's share the 20 most common things we think of on a daily basis walking around campus.

1. "Go ahead, hit me. Free tuition!"

Look, I even walk in the crosswalk and they still don't stop. I almost died twice last week, because they weren't paying attention. But regardless, it'll be their worst nightmare if they do touch me. So I dare them.

2. "Why am I even here?"

Every. Single. Day.

3. "I'm so hungry!"

No matter what time it is, and no matter how many meals you've already had, your stomach still wants more. The Freshman 15 isn't a lie. In college, I could eat a whole 5-course meal and STILL be starving.

4. "This day could not get any worse."

It really couldn't.

5. "Summer, where are you?"

I say this at least once a day, and I even dream about it, too. When you live at the beach, you're not used to being away for so long.

6. "Is my education really worth it?"

There are times when we sit and contemplate in bed about how we are actually in the real world, where there are responsibilities. How is that so? We think of all of the tasks we have to complete in order to get to where we need to be. It's a lot of work and stress, and we actually do wonder whether it's worth it or not.

7. "I have so much homework to do."

You seriously can't catch a break. Five or six classes can be hard to juggle, especially when you have something due every day.

8. "I'm going to be late!"

This is me. I care about being on time. Being late to either class, work, or an interview scares me. If I miss something, I blame myself.

9. "I need ice cream."

Well, I think every other college student complains that they need coffee, but this college student doesn't. She needs coffee ice cream instead to get her through the day.

10. "Where did my money go?"

Gas, tuition, room and board, loans. What's next?

11. "My professors are killing me!"

Their assignments are so unclear and they never explain anything EVER. Yes, even though we are responsible adults, we don't understand the grown-up English that they speak. Most of them are miserable and don't want anything to do with their students, which personally grinds my gears.

12. "What do you mean you don't grade on a curve?"

Seriously, though!

13. "I've got this!"

You'll ace this test. You studied so hard and pulled an all-nighter. You're super confident that things will go smoothly for once in your college career. Maybe.

14. "...I don't got this."

Turns out the test is harder than you thought, you studied the wrong material, and you'd rather actually get hit by those cars on the street than take the test.

15. "My health is deteriorating."

Emotional and mental health are almost drained to zero, and I'm actually surprised that I am not classified as insane yet. College can mess you up, and it makes you feel like your life is spiraling out of control.

16. "I need sleep."

You crave to catch some Z's, but then you remember that you have six assignments, three projects, and five discussion boards due next week. So sleep is irrelevant.

17. "There's no parking. EVER!"

I'm not a commuter, but I know that they suffer big time with trying to find a parking spot on campus. So many parking lots, yet they are only allowed to park in the most crowded one. I park in a parking garage by my apartment, and it's still a struggle to find a spot. It's the most obnoxiously annoying thing ever.

18. "Is it graduation yet?"

We want to get out ASAP. It can't come fast enough. We're tired of dealing with other students and professors on campus, and we want a real-world job already.

19. "I'm so out of breath from climbing two flights of stairs."

Running up the stairs either to your dorm or your class will leave you breathless and sweaty. Am I right? You make it known too, because people see your blushing cheeks and hear your rapid gasping for air.

20. "I really do love it here, and I'm going to miss this place."

Admit it, though. You love college. You love your home away from home. You hate the work that comes along with it, but you'll miss the memories. They are called the good old days for a reason!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
