We all enjoy watching the Thanksgiving day parade every year. There's always so much going on from the musical performances to the Radio City Rockettes kick lines, to the gigantic balloons everywhere. Oh, and let's not forget about the giant turkey balloon and Mr. and Mrs. Claus at the end of the parade. They're always the big finale. Have you ever thought about being a balloon walker? Ever wonder what they think about while making the long walk through the parade? Yeah, me too. Here're my ideas of what the balloon walkers are thinking about while marching their way through the parade.
1. "My feet hurt."
2. "Are we there yet?"
3. "How much farther do we have?"
4. "I'm definitely not getting paid enough for this."
5. "I wonder what I'm going to eat for lunch today."
6. "Why am I wearing this ridiculous outfit?"
7. "I wish my balloon was in front of the horses."
8. "I wish I was Santa Claus, he gets to sit down the whole time."
9. "I wonder what would happen if I just let go."
10. "If I pick my feet up off the ground right now, will I float?"
11. "This balloon is heavy."
12. "I'm tired of walking.'"
13. "Man, I'm going to be sore tomorrow."
14. "I wish all these people would stop staring at me."
15. "At least I get to be on TV."
16. "Do people even watch the parade anymore, is this even worth it?"
17. "I have a wedgie that I can't pick."
18. "I wonder if I could pick this wedgie without anyone on TV seeing me."
19. "I'm not doing this again next year."
20. "I wonder how much helium it takes to fill up this balloon."
Thanksgiving is a time to spend time with family and friends and remember even the little things you take for granted every day. Thanksgiving is in the middle of the Fall holiday season, alongside Halloween and Christmas. Many people seem to overlook the holiday when it comes to decorations and goes straight from Halloween to Christmas trees and lights. This causes many people to get kind of angry and upset because they feel Thanksgiving is just as important, if not slightly more, as the others around it. I couldn't be more grateful to be able to celebrate a holiday that brings me closer to my family for some time and help to understand the history of my country.
