I'm sure we have all begun packing our bags, preparing to head back to our campuses. Before the tears and last laughs that we will share with loved ones and best friends before parting ways, we are left with the last days that are usually spent preparing for the semester ahead. Most days, we are busy scrambling to get last minute supplies rather then enjoying the last days of quality tanning time.
It's important to take a step back and live in the moment of cleared schedules for one last time. It always seems like we talk about how quickly summer has passed rather than take on as many adventures as we can in the short amount of time. Here is a list I compiled that I've been completing before my summer comes to an end, and I thought it would spark ideas in the minds of others.
Here are twenty things you need to do before this summer ends:
1. Do touristy things in your hometown or closest major city.
2. Buy cheap seats and beer at a baseball game.
3. Eat fried, gross, super unhealthy food at a fair.
4. Stargaze.
5. Watch the sunrise or sunset at the beach.
6. Go to a drive-in movie.
7. Unplug for a day.
8. Go hiking/camping.
9. Eat countless amounts of ice cream.
10. Take a night swim in a pool full of glow sticks.
11. Have a paint fight.
12. Try surfing or paddle boarding.
13. Buy something that makes you feel good about yourself.
14. Attend a bonfire.
15. Volunteer for a cause that matters to you.
16. Go to an outdoor concert or festival.
17. Pull an all-nighter.
18. Go on a road trip.
19. Take a walk on the beach.
20. Have one last get together with friends.
It's important to realize how much time we truly have and take advantage of it as much as we can. Hope you can cross out some activities off this list if you haven't already!
