As everyone starts to graduate high school, most of us have already decided where we want to go for the next few years. Whether it be a local public college, a university out of state, vocational school or the military.
For a majority of us though, we are beginning our new chapters in college. We are about to experience a whole different world from our high school days. From new classes, to no parental supervision, to new social experiences, to even more independence as developing adults. Although we love to think that we can pretty much handle ourselves, there are going to be some times where we have little doubts clouding our heads.
As we pack up our things for college, our heads are racing with the new possibilities and excitement, but also these doubts that cause us hair pulling stress.
So here are the Top 20 thoughts we think before we enter college!
1. I wonder who I'm going to meet in college!
I think we all imagine the possibilities of who we may meet in college, after all, they say you meet your life long friends in college.
2.) Damn, I better figure out my room mate.
We all need a roommate, but sometimes we have a little bit of trouble figuring out exactly who that is.
3.) Oh my God, what do I even pack for college?

4.) Okay, I don't have to take that much.
Whew! Thank God! As we start to pack, we realize we don't need as much as we thought.
5.) Wait, I lied. I do.
Just kidding. You need all of it. Literally, everything. Clothes, shoes, etc.
6.) Ok, still don't have a roommate.
...we still need a roommate. Where Art Thou Room mate? Where do you locate one?
7.) Wait...How do I do laundry again?
I know how to do it. Really, I do. I might need a little refresher before I go off though...
8.) What supplies do I even need to wash clothes anyways?
Can I use those pod things or is that just for certain washers? Do I need a whole bottle of bleach? What size detergent do I need? How much do you have to measure out?
9.) I thought I got a lot of financial aid...but this is still expensive???
My school had me thinking I had a great deal. *shakes head.*
10.) I can't afford college. Where am I going to get this money from? The sky?
I need to work more. I already have like one job, and all my birthday money. HOW DO THEY EXPECT ME TO PAY THIS?
11.) Oh yeah, student loans. Fun.

12.) WHAT. IF. I. DON'T. MAKE. FRIENDS.
I don't even want to think about this anymore.
13.) I don't want to be a hermit on campus.
What if I'm the only one who doesn't have the ability to make friends? *gasps*
14.) Still don't have a roommate...
...If I can't even find a room mate, how the hell am I going to make other friends?
15.) Oh my God, I'm really going to be a hermit.

16.) Wait. Stop. I need how many textbooks?!
So you're telling me I need four textbooks for one class? You're also telling me I need a book that I can only get from the University for 40 bucks?! Nope. No thank you.
17.) Ok, how do textbook rentals work exactly?
YES! RENTALS! Why didn't I think of this earlier? I love saving money. One issue though, how does this work? How do I send these back? You say it's free return shipping, but how exactly do I get free shipping? Is there a label you give me or something?
18.) WHY IS EVERYTHING SO MUCH MONEY?
I have probably spent half of my savings by now. Why is college life so cruel to me?
19.) I'm going to miss my pets.
Who's going to take care of my children? I'm their mother. I can't abandon them. I can possibly trust my parents aka their grandparents.
20.) ALRIGHT. I'M OUT. COLLEGE HERE I COME.
Even though it's been one stressful ride preparing for move-in, I am excited to start a new chapter in my life. I may miss my friends and family, but it's all about maturing and moving forward.
In conclusion, the pathway to college life is scary as hell, but honestly, I wouldn't have it anyother way. This is my time to start anew, and to become a better version of myself. Even though I may mess up a lot, I will learn so much from these new experiences. I will (hopefully) make new friends, interact with so many different people with different interests, and discover a more independent version of myself. If you're in the same situation, you will too!
Leggo!
