20 Things I Want To Do Before I Die

Because everyone should have their own bucket list

1) Go to Ireland

Most of my family is Irish, so it's only natural that this is the first thing on my list.

2) Fall in love and never fall out

I know this might sound dumb, but I've witnessed couples who have been head over heels in the beginning of their relationship, but then after a while, they start hating the little things they used to find cute about one another. Or, they just get bored.

I never want that to happen with me. I want to be able to wake up every day and feel like my relationship is still in the "honeymoon" stage.

3) Live on the beach

The beach is my serenity, so being able to live on or near one would be awesome.

4) Be so in love with my job that it doesn’t feel like work

I've been told often that "If you love your job, you'll never work a day in your life," or "Die doing what you love," and that's what I want. I refuse to ever hate my job or let it make me bitter.

5) Go skydiving

Adrenaline junky.

6) Go to Devils Pool in Victoria Falls

This pool seems so cool. It's an "edge of the world" type of pool, over a cliff where the current is so strong that it helps you not fall off the cliff.

7) Be the person my brother and sisters think I am

They look up to me, and I never want to disappoint them.

8) Buy a house

I want to buy a house mainly because I want to decorate with my own style: a.k.a A LOT of bean bag chairs and comfy things.

9) Learn sign language

It's different and so beyond cool.

10) Road trip the country with my friends

Because who doesn't want to do this?

11) Get married

And never get divorced. I want to be married to one person forever.

12) Learn how to play an instrument really well

Music is my favorite thing in the world, and I think it would make it more awesome if I could play an instrument.

13) Grow a few inches

Because I'm 5'1 1/4, and it really cramps my style sometimes.

14) Learn to dance... well

Because I do a lot of mom dances, like the side step and the sprinkler.

15) Be healthy

I want to be one of those people who loves to work out and drink protein shakes.

16) Try out for The Voice

I would probably cry and pee my pants, but a girl can dream!

17) Climb a mountain

Just to be able to say, "I climbed a mountain."

18) Swim in the Blue Lagoon in Iceland

I love water, and this seems awesome.

19) Go parasailing

Because I love water, and this seems awesome as well.

20) Go to the Grutas de Tolantongo in Mexico

SO PRETTY!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
