1. Your faith is important, don’t lose it.

Your faith and beliefs are beautiful don't lose that side of yourself.

2. Family will always be there for you.

They may not always agree with you but in the end, they've got your back.

3. You can’t always trust your friends.

Be careful who you trust and let into your life.

4. Being an ‘almost’ adult is hard.

When you decide to live in an apartment instead of Student housing and have to pay rent. That's no joke.

5. You can work, socialize, and school at the same time.

It's is hard and sometimes you have put one in front of the other. Just prioritize and manage your time.

6. EDM is music.

My life changed the day I listened to Diplo.

7. Your first job is not the best job.

Cashier. Waitress. Busboy. You aren't always going to love your first job but that okay because it's only your first.

8. Money isn't everything.

Yes, it's nice to have things but the material in life is worth nothing.

9. Netflix is not a person you can have a relationship with.

Stop spending hours a day watching Netflix and go out and do something productive.

10. Your teachers want you to succeed.

They have many things to teach you, listen to them.

11. Your friends can also be your family.

Family isn't just blood, it's also loyalty.

12. Everything isn’t about you so stop being selfish.

It's easy to think that the whole world revolves around but just stop for a second. The world doesn't stop for anybody.

13. If they don’t treat you right, they don’t deserve you.

Don't ever let anybody step over you, know your worth.

14. Heartbreak is for suckers.

Heartbreak sucks. But accept it and move on.

15. Don’t let your bank account get below $25.

The struggle is really when you get below $25 in your bank account. If you've never experienced this, then consider yourself lucky.

16. Home is a person, not a place.

My home is my mom, dad, and brother.

17. No human is illegal.

A human cannot be 'illegal'.

18. Be nice.

Has cliché as this sounds it's true. Being nice is not a hard thing to do.

19. Its ok to fail. Just make sure to try again.

Always have room for failure. When you fail you gain experience and perspective.

20. Love yourself first.

This is the most simple thing to say but probably the hardest to do. I can't tell you how to do it you just have to.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
