October 25th marks the beginning of the insanity that is the NBA. For some people, like me, that used to mean absolutely nothing. I mean basketball was always fun to watch from time to time, but I never had a team that I rooted for or planned out my weeks accordingly so I could catch every game and I didn't really know anyone who did.

That is, until I started dating my boyfriend.

Along with being one of the most competitive people I know, he also possess an extreme fandom of the Golden State Warriors, AKA Steph Curry.

(And if you don't know who the Golden State Warriors or Steph Curry is, look up Riley Curry on youtube, I'm sure it'll jog your memory.)

So, in the three quarters of last year's season I've spent with him this is what I've heard/learned:

1) "Draymond Green N E E D S to stop shooting."

2) "Steph Curry was the first unanimous MVP in 2016"

3) "Andrew Bogus SUCKS ( he was traded last year (bless up))"

4) "STEVE KERR YOU F***ING IDIOT"

5) "Steph Curry was the MBA MVP... two years in a row..."

6) "Steph and Ayesha are GOALS."

7) "Draymond Green is a saaavage."

8) "Bogut can you make a DAMN FREETHROW?"

9) "Steph is the greatest shooter of all time." (While writing this he informed me that he doesn't just "say" Steph is, he actually is the greatest shooter of all time."

10) "Klay Thomson is so under-appreciated."

11) "SPLASH BROTHERS"

12) "Golden State is going to be unstoppable this year"

13) "Lebron is such a B*TCH"

14) "How do you come back and win a series when you're losing 3-1 and turn around and lose when your up 3-1. It's ridiculous."

15) "Seriously Steve Kerr, it's four minutes into the 4th why is Steph still on the bench, man I swear this dude wants to loose."

16) "IGUODALA STOP SHOOTING, WTF" (While asking how to spell "iguodala" Jake literally said, "I don't even wanna know how to spell that dudes name bc he's that shitty).

17) "Kevin Durant will never come to the Warriors."

18) "HOLY SHIT THE WARRIORS JUST GOT DURANT."

19) *anytime Golden State is losing* "Oh my God these dudes don't know how to play defense, like COME ONNNNNN."

20) "Golden State is the best team in the league, no question."

Now, this post may make Jake look like a pessimistic ass, but for every harsh thing I've stated he's got a handful of great things to say about the Warriors.

So here's to another season of me listening to the groaning, yelling, profane shouting, cheering, jumping around, and being given the silent treatment when Golden State isn't playing good. That's what being a supportive girlfriend is all about.... right? *nervous laughing*

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
