As Friday was my 19th birthday, it is finally dawning on me that I'm officially in my last teenage year. My life as a teenager was certainly a crazy one, but I wouldn't change it for the world. Looking back, I've had so many wonderful memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life. During these formative years, I've had I've made so many memories, each filled with emotions stronger than words. I experienced love, loss, laughter, and so much joy. I went from a shy, awkward 13 year old to a now confident and bubbly 19 year old. I accomplished many things during these years as well: graduated middle and high school, finished my long (and pretty low ability) soccer, softball, and orchestra careers, learned how to change my diet to be gluten-free, learned how to drive a car, became a leader at my camp, got into one of my top colleges, and am now almost done with my first year at college. I've made new friends, had new adventures, and my view on the world has changed as I've gotten older. I also did so many fun little things throughout my last 6 years, and hope to do more. These are 20 things I hope to do (and I think everyone should do) before I turn 20.

1. Volunteer more.

2. Read for enjoyment more.

3. Make new friends.

4. Use my imagination daily.

5. Skydive.

6. Become more proficient in Spanish.

7. Declare a major.

8. Try at least 5 new foods.

9. Keep a dream journal.

10. Worry less about what others think.

11. Spend as much time outside as possible to appreciate nature.

12. Meet a celebrity.

13. Learn how to do a new kind of hair braid and friendship bracelet. (#campskillz)

14. Go to a comedy show.

15. Become more organized.

16. Study more, but worry less.

17. Be more thankful for the things that I have.

18. Eat an entire pint of Ben & Jerry's ice cream.

19. Learn how to cook.

20. Write long letters of appreciation to the people that I care about.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
