Growing up in the 215 is awesome and growing up in the 18966 makes it even better. Nestled away in a tiny square of Bucks County, PA is the most unexciting, adorable, peculiar little town called Southampton. Though we have all had days where we've been dying to escape this little corner of the world, one thing we know is true: Southampton is home. Outsiders will never understand just how much of a love-hate relationship locals have with our hometown, but, for as much as we complain, we will always love it.

You know you're from Southampton, PA when...

1. You still mourn the Taco Bell that used to be on Second Street Pike.

I have to drive to Richboro for my chalupas now.

2. If you went to Klinger Middle School, you walked all the way to McDonald’s on the last day of school.

Who remembers getting yelled at by people as they drove by?

3. Southampton Days was the hottest event of the summer.

I used to go for The Zipper, now I go for the Bingo.

4. You woke up early every July 4th to watch the parade on Second Street Pike.

Also, you really want those semi-tasty, semi-nasty green leaf candies.

5. You’ve definitely texted your friends to meet you at “the youth” to play basketball or just hang out.

Guilty.

6. You know the Southampton Knights are always and forever superior to the Warminster Pioneers.

Pee wee football at its finest.

7. You know that Burgundy Hills is the most obscenely hilly neighborhood around.

You basically have to climb a mountain to get from house to house.

8. You’ve gone to three tunnels and you've probably jumped into the water.

This means you probably also need a tetanus shot.

9. You know that Applebee’s half-priced apps were always the move after every school function.

Boneless buffalo wings, please!

10. You’ve probably watched the 4th of July fireworks at Klinger with your crush.

He held my hand!

11. In middle school, you used to hang at “the shops.”

Basically, you loitered at the strip mall.

12. You may have referred to Southampton as “the southside of Hampton” once or twice.

Or maybe that’s just me…

13. You refer to locations by which elementary school they are closest to.

Oh, your house is in Stackpole’s neighborhood, mine is right behind Davis.

14. You know Robin Hood has the best cinnamon bun pancakes.

Heavenly.

15. You’ve had a pretty lit night at a bar or bat mitzvah at Maggio’s Ballroom.

My 13th was the talk of the town.

16. You’ve either gotten a tattoo or piercing at The Inkwell, or you’ve at least considered it.

They do great work or so I’ve been told.

17. You’ve tried to go on a health kick, so you’ve eaten at Blue Sage.

Veggies! Veggies for everyone! I immediately got a chicken quesadilla at Las Margaritas afterwards.

18. You miss Aroi, the Thai restaurant that used to be on Second Street Pike.

Bring it back! I miss my chicken curry.

19. You’ve gone on a date that consisted of mini golf at Mad Golfer followed by blizzards at Dairy Queen.

Classic.

20. You wouldn’t want to grow up anywhere else.

Southampton forever!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
