When I think about what makes me happy, the very first thing I always think about is my little furball back home, Luna. She is a Cavapoo, which is a mix between a toy poodle and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and she is the funniest little thing in the world. It's so hard going to school so far away from her because honestly, everyone needs a little dog as their best friend.

1. They'll never fail to make you laugh.

Whether it's falling asleep in laundry baskets, purring like a cat when you pet them, or accidentally walking into a glass door, they will always provide comic relief to any situation.

2. They just want to be near you.

It doesn't matter what you're doing, they love spending time with you. Even if you're not paying any attention to them at all while you're on a business phone call, they are still completely devoted to you. You are their best friend too.

3. They understand the importance of lazy weekend afternoons.

They're always down for some quiet time. You'll forgive them if they steal your favorite chair.

4. They love to cuddle.

Lonely? Get a little dog because they will always enjoy some snuggles. Their favorite thing to do after all is love you.

5. They're so cute, even when they hog your pillow.

Who could possibly say no to those puppy dog eyes? Any bad behavior is easily pardoned... even when they have an accident in the house or chew up your favorite shoes.

6. They like taking selfies.

Even when they're so tired they can't keep their eyes open...

7. They're also natural supermodels.

She just woke up, but she's already ready for her close up.

8. They're the teddy bears you'll never outgrow.

They might outgrow you, though... check out that side eye.

9. They'll guard your room while you're at college.

They want to be the first one to greet you when you finally come home.

10. Sometimes they enjoy some light reading.

They're quite cultured after all, being your dog and everything.

11. They'll find anywhere possible to take a nap.

Wet swim bag that reeks of chlorine? How comfortable!

12. They have bad hair days, just like we do.

They can relate to the struggle.

13. They never want to miss a social event.

They'll probably try to steal some wine, but don't let them, they're light-weights.

14. They love meeting new puppies... even if they're only the same size as them for a week or two.

They're on the welcoming committee.

15. They'll always be down for a movie night.

They also won't ever complain about your movie selection.

16. They'll even help you with your homework.

Who wouldn't want a puppy to sit on their shoulders while they write a research paper?

17. They'll do their best to help you relax at all times.

They're comfort dogs at heart.

18. They're also always ready to play.

No matter how tired they are, if you have a toy, they are ready for some playtime.

19. They enjoy arts and crafts... as long as you're there.

Coloring, painting, drawing, you name it, they'll watch you do it... or at least sleep on the bed while you do it.

20. If you're lucky, they'll FaceTime you.

Nothing makes them happier than seeing their best friend who moved off to college.

All in all, a little dog is the best friend you could ever ask for. They will love you unconditionally and they are good at so many different things. Above all their many talents, they're the best at making you smile.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
