There are some common questions that students at UMW ask themselves during their time here. Some we have found the answers to and some are still unknown. I'm just here to write what we all think at one point or another.

Let's play 20 Questions UMW Edition:

1. Why is it that I never get wifi in class when I need it the most?

2. Why does my email password never work?

3. Why is "bench sitting" a thing?

4. Why is the nest no longer?

5. Why is it ALWAYS either too hot or too cold in Eagle Landing?

6. Why was there a time where we had red flags throughout campus when our colors are blue and grey?

7. Why do we think we are the only school campus with squirrels?

8. Why the devils? Why the goats?

9. Why do people put bubbles in the fountain?

10. Why does the Underground have such off hours?

11. Why does Blackstone never have enough bagels?

12. Why is Dora now in the nest? She made Friday lunches so enjoyable in the UC.

13. Why does there always has to be that unfortunate soul who has to shove their hand up the ice cream cone dispenser when we all know there are still some in there?

14. Why is the food at Qdoba so addicting?

15. Why does the Spring semester only have one break?

16. Why aren't there more sales in the bookstore on apparel?

17. Why were most of the dance classes removed from the class choices?

18. Why do we have to buy the required textbooks but never even open some of them?

19. Why do the doors at Woodard open out so we hit everyone walking by?

20. Why are there certain weeks throughout the semester where all of the professors bomb us with work in every single class?

Thanks for playing!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
