We are all just trying to get through the semester. Summer is on its way! There is hope! But until then, we are all on the search for free food, cheap books, and ways to pass all of our exams and essays. The following GIFs and pictures perfectly represent me... do they represent you?

1. The first day

Now, this has happened ever since junior high, but I find there's a little more happiness in finding a friend in a college classroom.

2. Non-compatible

If there's a better way to say I'm not fitting in well to the college life, I don't know what it is.

3. Trying so hard just to fall so far

*Linkin Park plays in the background*

"I tried so hard / And got so far / But in the end / It doesn't even matter..."

4. AKA Spanish 101

It's almost as if college has its own language... and you just can't find the correct translation.

5. The money game

Even if that $4.00 was used to buy yourself lunch, the regret is harsh.

6. The money game: part two

Need I say anything? I'm pretty sure everyone knows this all too well.

7. The money game: part three

What better reason is there to get the scholarship than, "I'm broke and I need money desperately."?

If only there was a Pity Scholarship... oh wait that's called a Pell Grant.

8. High School vs. College

In high school, P.E. is just plain torture.

But in college, it's necessary to survive.

9. At the end of the semester

When your professor practically fails everyone and still expects a good evaluation...

10. Have pity... Please?

And your professor just ducks his head down, knowing that your exam is going to be fun to grade.

11. Sudden realization

I hate this! It's not like you can ask for it back.

This always happens to me as I'm walking out of the room.

12. Curve

"But, why not?"

13. Coffee helps none

This is me for my 8 am class. Nothing helps me stay awake.

The scheduling regret is real...

14. Thanks, Netflix

Considering how I just finished The Office and am now about to finish Breaking Bad... yeah, the binge game is too strong.

15. "Mom, where are you?"

I know my mother will read this, and I know she'll laugh.... But, Mom, it's true.

*whispers* Please help me.

16. Going home during a break

When you go home and see all your old teachers at Walmart...

17. Procrastination

As a procrastinating English major, I concur.

Sometimes I feel like they sniff at the paper just to find the spot I missed.

18. *cries*

As I write this, we have approximately a month until finals.

The wave is getting closer and I'm just closing my eyes waiting for it to hit.

19. Almost there

This is especially true for the spring semester because if you don't have summer classes, you're just dying for the 2-3 month break.

(This is me after the wave hits.) (Someone call for an ambulance; I'm not going to make it.)

20. In the end

"Death is only the beginning."

--The Mummy (1999)

15 Times "Parks and Recreation" Summed Up Your Library Experience

"I've only slept nine hours over the past four days, so I'm right on the verge of a nervous breakdown." - Leslie Knope

Parks and Recreation excitedly gathered around a laptop at a table in an office setting.

The library. Club lib. The place every college student goes when they want to try and be a productive member of society. Who better to explain your experience than Parks and Rec?

1. When you've finally found the energy to leave your dorm room and walk into the lib like

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
