The start of the holiday season as begun, and so have the endless post about anything and everything holiday related on social media. Every year there tends to be a new trend that everyone wants to get behind, and this year that would be the "20 Things I Love" trend. I've mainly seen this on Instagram, but for anyone who is unfamiliar with what this is, you basically list off twenty things that you love, and then you tag a few friends who you want to do the same. To celebrate the start of the season, I want to share the 20 things in my life that I love.

1. My Family (Especially My Parents)

My family is my biggest fan, and I'm so thankful for the love and support they provide me with. I love you guys so much!

2. My Friends

Dancing has been a part of my life since I was three, and I don't know what I would do without it.

5. Singing

I love how on a bad day all I have to do is sing and magically I feel three million times better.

6. Show tunes

This is literally the only music I listen to because it is the only music I have found that truly tells a story. Also, who doesn't love Sutton Foster?

School is so important to me, so I always love when the hard work eventually pays off.

8. Chocolate

">

Nothing else needs to be said.

9. Shoes (Especially Heels and Boots)

10. ShoppinWhether I'm shopping for myself or someone else, nothing is as satisfying as a successful shopping trip.

11. My Uke

I got Lilo, my ukulele, for my birthday, and she has been one of stress relievers in the world.

12. Once Upon A Time

">

If you haven't watched Once Upon A Time, you are really missing out.

13. That Feeling You Get after Taking Your Hair Out Of A Tight, High Ponytail

If you have long hair, you know what I'm talking about.

14. Funny Puppy Videos

If you're having a bad day, please watch one of these.

15. Pretzel Crisps

Maybe I'm just hungry, but these are my favorite go to snack.

16. Nail Polish

I like to at least pretend I'm as good as those nail Youtubers.

17. My Phone

Don't go hating me for loving my phone, but lets be real, it connects me to my friends and family, entertains me when I'm bored, and it's actually is useful in school 90% of the time.

18. Nailing The Perfect Winged Eyeliner

The only thing that would make this better is if you could do it to both eyes.

19. Silence

With a life as chaotic as mine, silence is a great way for me to relax and become refocused.

20. My Dog

I love you so much Buttons. I don't know what I would do without you and all your fluffiness. To think that there was a time where I hated dogs...wow

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating.
