If you are anything like I am, friends who are engaged or even married surround you. Often times, you wonder why you’re still single. Thoughts go through your mind like, “I think I’m kind of fun” or “I’m really not that bad to look at, right?” But, after sitting down and thinking about it, there are so many reasons why being single in college is a good thing!

1. You have way more time to hang out with your best friends.

2. You can flirt with whomever you want.

3. You don’t need to worry about looking cute for anyone but yourself.

4. You don’t’ have to spend money on dates (we know we are all poor).

5. You don’t have to shave your legs very often.

6. You get to be the fun single friend.

7. You don’t have to take anyone home to meet the parents.

8. You can have as many guy friends as you want.

9. You can stay in bed and watch Netflix all day, like The Office, without having to go anywhere.

10. You can go on as many dates as you want.

11. You can go on spontaneous adventures by yourself.

12. You can go on spontaneous adventures with your friends.

13. You can be emotional whenever you want to (we know we cry a lot in college).

14. Spring break with friends is way better than any relationship.

15. You can meet all the cute groomsmen at your friends’ weddings.

16. You don’t have to start thinking about a family.

17. You can actually focus on doing well in school.

18. Having a boyfriend causes a lot of stress (You know it’s true).

19. You’re always available when your best friends call to hang out.

20. If you’re introverted like me, you get more time to yourself.
