In college, there will be times that you will not sleep. This could be because you took nap or have assignments to do. While you're sitting in your bed wide awake, you will start to notice a huge sense of boredom. Even though you will google things to do when bored, mostly what you find aren't very relevant when you can't sleep, because even though you're awake, society is not. Luckily, homeboy over here knows the real struggle of that, especially on the weekends, so I thought I would provide a list of random activities to do when it's 4 a.m. and everyone that's normal is asleep.

1. Make a blog post.

Why do you think I'm writing this right now? When do you think I write all of my other posts? The creative juices flow best when it's the least convenient.

2. Watch Netflix, of course.

This one is a given. There's not a more perfect time to start a brand new series with 9 seasons than the middle of the night during finals week.

3. Look up Beyoncé performances.

You can never ever go wrong with Beyoncé. Especially since she just released her new LEMONADE album that gives all the juicy drama about Jay-Z.

4. Look up other videos of lesser artists.

If for some reason you might not like Beyoncé, there are still some pretty good artists out there who slay a little bit.

5. Look up funny videos.

6. Check Snapchat.

See if anyone has posted a story or viewed yours recently. If someone has, text or snap them to strike up interesting conversations. You never know who you could find.

7. Do the same thing with Twitter if you're still weird enough to have one.

8. Don't bother checking Instagram.

It's dead, I promise. You will waste time. And please, whatever you do, do not post. You will get neither the likes nor attention you are looking for.

9. Download a bunch of games on your phone.

Some people worry about looking weird about having games on their phone, or they worry about annoying little kids asking to play on their phone. If you're one of those people, just delete them when you get bored with it. *Takes a break from writing and opens 4 games*

10. Clean your room.

11. Do your homework.

It's probably the real reason you're awake anyways.

12. Organize and edit your playlists.

13. Online shop.

This is the most dangerous of all. Impulse buying is real. Please shop responsibly.

14. Take a shower.

15. Find new trap music.

What better time is there to stay hip?

16. Learn all the lyrics to all the trap songs that could ever potentially be played in a car ride jam session.

You don't think you'll need to do this until you're sitting in a car not knowing any of the words to a song while everyone around you is spitting off real fire.

17. Eat ice cream.

My all time favorite food. If you don't have any, go to the nearest 24 hour Walmart.

18. Clean up the storage on your phone.

Something that's constantly necessary.

19. Recall anything that makes you bawl your eyes out.

The middle of the night is the most ideal time to let your emotions out because you have a very slim chance of anyone catching you or interrupting. Plus, it's not fun being in a fun and cheerful mood by yourself, so take advantage of the situation and find something that makes you want to rip your heart out, whether it's recalling memories or watching your favorite TV show characters character die.

20. Attempt to go back to sleep.

If you do all of these things, you have GOT to be exhausted, so take a shot at getting rest.

This doesn't just go out to people who can't sleep, it can also be used if you're alone and bored, or if you're a natural night owl, like me. Good luck on finding something to do, and good night!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
