At some point in their academic career, every student wonders, "where is my money going?" What we don't realize is that many schools, including FSU, offer resources that most students don't know about! Some, such as the adobe creative cloud package, are even very expensive for the average student to have on their own. Below I've provided a few of the resources that I've recently started to take advantage of.
1. Microsoft Office Package.
If you go to https://its.fsu.edu/article/free-subscriptions-mic... you can follow simple instructions to download the Microsoft package for FREE
2. Reading and Writing Center.
This center offers help with every stage of the writing process. From brainstorming to content and grammar revision, the helpful tutors at the RWC (in the 2nd floor of the Williams building) are there for you! You can make an appointment here.
3. Digital Studio.
This resource is located in the Williams building (2nd floor), and the Williams Johnston Building (Ground floor). With computers on site, the digital studio can help and provide you with all of the programs in the Adobe digital cloud as well as other online programs such as Wix, Weebly, or Power Point.Learn more about the Digital studio here.
4. Lynda.com.
This is a website that gives tutorials on anything and everything you can imagine including things like Adobe Photoshop, Statistics, and more. Simply log into your My FSU account and see the drop down arrow under "Resources."
5. Library Workshops and Events.
The library offers many online workshops and events to help students perfect their resumes or learn different skills, such as Python. The events change periodically and you can check them out here.
