1989: 12 Things You Need To Know About Taylor's New Album

Over the past couple of weeks, a day rarely goes by that I do not catch someone singing “haters gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate,” or more recently “are we out of the woods yet, are we out of the woods yet, are we out of the woods yet, are we out of the woods.” Taylor Swift’s upcoming album, 1989, has already become one of the top albums on iTunes.

With two songs already released, the public can not help begging for more. Should we sit around patiently and wait until the album is completely released on October 27th? No! In times like these, one must scour the Internet to get as many details as possible. So that is what I have done. Although I cannot give you the entire track list, I can tell you a little bit about the making of T-Swift's fifth album.

1. The title of the album is also the year Taylor was born.

2. When asked why she picked 1989 as the title, Swift said this about the 80s culture: “The idea that you can do what you want, be who you want, wear what you want, love what you want — bright colors, bold chances, rebellion. The idea of that was so inspiring to me.”

3. This is Taylor’s first official pop album (although, I personally think the last album should have been considered pop).

4. She has confirmed the following song titles: "All You Had to Do Was Stay"; "Bad Blood’; "I Know Places"; "I Wish You Would"; "Out of the Woods’; "Style’; "Wildest Dreams"; and "Shake It Off".

5. "All You Had to Do Was Stay" is about a guy who is afraid of commitment. It is rumored to be about Taylor’s ex, Harry Styles.

6. "Bad Blood" is about one of Taylor female celebrity enemies.

7. "I Wish You Would" was written about one of Taylor’s crazy exes. Surprise, surprise.

8. The recently released song "Out of the Woods" was inspired by a snow mobile accident that Taylor and her ex were involved in.

9. According to Rolling Stone, "Style" has “a sexy Miami Vice-sounding throwback about a guy with slicked-back hair and a white T-shirt and a girl in a tight little skirt.”

10. Taylor told Guardian this about the lyrics for "Shake It Off": “In the last couple of years I’ve had to come to terms with the fact that anyone can say anything about me and call TMZ or Radar Online or something, and it will be an international headline. You can either go crazy and let it make you bitter and make you not trust people, and become really secluded or rebellious against the whole system. Or you can just shake it off and figure that as long as you’re having more fun than anyone else, what does it matter what anyone thinks?” GO TAYLOR!

11. Almost half of the album is produced by Max Martin, a Swedish music producer.

12. One of the songs is said to have been taken right out of Swift’s personal journal.

It’s not a lot, but it’s a start! Thankfully, October 27th is not too far away, and soon all of our questions will be answered! Information for this article was found at http://popcrush.com/taylor-swift-1989-album-songs-...

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
