19 Things We Forget Go Thank Our Friends For
Maisie Fisher

Often times we get caught up in life and forget to be thankful for some of the most important people in our lives: our friends. So here’s a list of 19 things I would like to thank my friends for.

1.Thank you for putting up with me, even when I’m being a pain.

We all have our moments, yet we still hang around each other.

2.Thank you for being honest with me, whether I want to hear it or not.

3.Thank you for putting me above a lot of things.

You always make it obvious how much I mean to you, and I try to do the same.

4.Thank you for encouraging me and believing in me.

It means a lot to me that you have so much faith in me. Your encouragement pushes me to be better and do better.

5.Thank you for being there for me whenever I need it.

6.Thank you for giving me the best advice you can manage.

7.Thank you for being willing do crazy things with me.

We all know that our ideas aren't always the smartest, but if we do it together, it'll be fine!

8.Thank you for listening to my problems, no matter how insignificant.

9.Thank you for helping me when I have a homework issue, no matter how much you have to do.

10.Thank you for telling me when I need to calm down.

We all know I overreact a lot and get upset about a lot of things easily. Sometimes I just need you to tell me to chill out.

11.Thank you for cheering me up when I’m upset.

Or crying with me. Either way, it just means a lot that you're there.

12.Thank you for treating my family like your own.

13.Thank you for having a family who treats me like their own.

14.Thank you for laughing at the stupid things I say.

I do not always have a way with words. I also tend to make things up. But, your laughter makes me feel better.

15.Thank you for including me in your plans.

16.Thank you for being my other siblings.

I mean, who else am I going to pick on while I'm not with my actual siblings?

17.Thank you for not giving up on me.

18.Thank you for being the best friends I could ever ask for.

If I had the ability to build the perfect friends, I couldn't imagine them not being like you. We complement each other perfectly.

19.Thank you for always loving me.

I know I'm bratty, moody, and a little crazy at times, but we all are. Yet, somehow, you're always there and you always love me regardless. I don't know how I ever survived without you. I could never imagine my life without you in it. And, there is no one else I'd rather do this crazy thing called life with besides you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
