19 Thank-Yous To My Boyfriend
Alyssa Doyle

Often times, the littlest things go unnoticed in relationships, but it's the little things that truly mean the most. So, to the special someone in my life, I just wanted to take the time to thank you for these 19 things (even though there's one million things that you do for me every day.)

1. Thank you for comforting me when I'm stressed.

As someone who gets stressed pretty easily, this means the world to me. No matter how big or small the problem may seem, you always know just what to say, and you always make me feel better.

2. Thank you for letting me pick the movie AGAIN.

We watch a lot of movies together, so thank you for allowing me to choose the movie and never complaining (maybe just a little bit.)

3. Thank you for letting me steal the food off your plate.

Even when I say I don't want some, you know I'm lying.

4. Thank you for believing in me.

You're my #1 fan, and I couldn't be more grateful for your support. Even when I'm convinced I can't do something, you're convinced that I can; there's nothing better than that.

5. Thank you for going on adventures with me.

Whether we're going to the beach, the city, or to a new restaurant somewhere, you just shake your head, smile, and come along for the ride.

6. Thank you for laughing with me.

I don't know what we're laughing about most of the time, but I do know that you're the funniest person I've ever met.

7. Thank you for listening to me rant for hours.

I know that you barely ever get a word in, but I appreciate how willing you are to let me vent to you about anything and everything.

8. Thank you for being my plus one to all events.

No matter where I have to go, you're there to go with me.

9. Thank you for staying up late for me.

I know you'd much rather go to sleep at 9 o' clock, but you stay up to spend more time with me anyway.

10. Thank you for taking thousands of pictures with me.

I might have to take the same picture 12 times because my eyes are closed or because the lighting is off, but you don't give me too much of a hard time for it.

11. Thank you for complimenting me.

I still smile when you call me 'beautiful' just as much as I did the first time you said it.

12. Thank you for putting up with me.

I'm not an easy person to deal with, but you make it look easy.

13. Thank you for sending me 'good morning' and 'goodnight' texts.

Your name on my phone is the first thing I see when I wake up in the morning and the last thing I see at night before I go to sleep, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

14. Thank you for having my best interest at heart.

You tell me like it is, even if it's something I don't want to hear simply because you're always looking out for me.

15. Thank you for asking about my day.

You want to hear everything, from the good to the bad to the ugly.

16. Thank you for remembering important dates.

You never forget to bring me flowers on Valentine's Day or our anniversary, and you're the first to say 'Happy Birthday' to me.

17. Thank you for having deep conversations with me.

You know I love to contemplate the beginnings of the universe and other random topics, but you just join right in on the conversation.

18. Thank you for knowing me better than I know myself.

It doesn't matter if I'm sad, angry, or happy. You can figure out what I'm feeling before I can.

19. Thank you for loving me and for being my best friend.

Above all else, your love is all I need in this big, old crazy world.

This doesn't even come close to all of the things I could thank you for, because you do more for me than you'll ever know, but I wanted to give you a little shoutout to remind you just how important you are to me.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
