Every person has their own playlist of songs that take them back to their childhood. Like many out there, I was among the crowd of punk kids from middle school up until about sophomore year of high school. And while I may have grown out of wearing the colored jeans, the baggy hoodies and the colored clip-in hair streaks, I don't think I'll ever grow out of the music those years of my life introduced me to.

If you're in the same group as I am, here are a few songs that might take you back to the days of shopping sprees in Hot Topic.

1. "Welcome To The Black Parade" - My Chemical Romance

It's all over the second you hear that first piano chord.

2. "Misery Business" - Paramore

If you needed a reason to feel sassy, this song provided the perfect theme song for your day. Also, Hayley Williams became every girl's dream in terms of vocal ability (if not hair color as well.)

3. "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" - Panic! At The Disco

Guy-liner never looked as good as it did on Brendon Urie (except for maybe Pete Wentz, but we'll get to him next.) And everyone who knew the song knew just the right moment to shout what is probably the most iconic line of the song...

4. "Thnks Fr Th Mmrs" - Fall Out Boy

The intense string opening is a telltale sign that you're in for a wild ride.

5. "Move Along" - The All Time Rejects

If you ever needed a reason to let out that teenage angst, well, here's your chance. Do it, and move along.

6. "Perfect" - Simple Plan

Speaking of teenage angst, here's that one song that we all either pretended to relate to or related to far too much.

7. "Shake It" - Metro Station

Probably everyone's rebel jam at the time, not to mention the fact that Trace Cyrus was everyone's type. Tall, skinny, tattooed, pierced and forever skinny-jean clad...he was the dream guy.

8. "Ocean Avenue" - Yellowcard

The love story everyone wished they were apart of.

9. "Dear Maria, Count Me In" - All Time Low

At the time, no one really knew that this song was about a stripper. Or did they? Maybe it was just me.

10. "All The Small Things" - Blink-182

Another one of those love stories that everyone wishes they were apart of. Not interested in love stories? Maybe "I Miss You" will suit you better.

11. "Breaking the Habit" - Linkin Park

And we're back to the teenage angst, for those who felt like they didn't belong in a crowd.

12. "The Middle" - Jimmy Eat World

If you needed a boost of confidence, this song was always here to bring you back up.

13. "Niki FM" - Hawthorne Heights

Angst! Angst everywhere! Also lots of screaming, perfect for the pain we all had inside...in theory, at least. For some.

14. "Cupid's Chokehold" - Gym Class Heroes

This was one of those songs that was played to death over the radio. Not like anyone really minded at the time, but yeah.

15. "Feel Good Inc." - Gorillaz

Gloriously mischievous, with a hint of foreboding, this song was perfect for those who felt like being a little dangerous.

16. "Curse of Curves" - Cute Is What We Aim For

A song for the girl that drew everyone close but was interested in none and for the boy who wanted no one but her.

17. "Hot Mess" - Cobra Starship

Played at probably every school dance ever, this song was a must to get the party running...not like many middle schoolers really knew what being a "hot mess" really was.

18. "Don't Trust Me" - 3Oh!3

The song that had every middle schooler cursing during the chorus just to seem like a badass.

19. "About a Girl" - The Academy Is...

So. Many. Feels. Also William Beckett is just...yes.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
