18 Thoughts I Had While Watching the "Wonder Woman" Trailer

Ever since I heard that for the first time in cinema history that there was going to be female-led superhero movie, a certain excitement welled up inside of me. On the same token, worry seeped through the cracks as well — what would normally seem a godsend could go horribly wrong, depending on how the director, script, and camera angles all come together. Even so, any and all doubt was obliterated after watching the "Wonder Woman" trailer for the first time. No matter what gender you are, you are bound to fall in love upon viewing the trailer; there is something for all types of viewers (action seekers, hopeless romantics, feminists, and superhero fanatics alike). Below are 18thoughts I had while watching the trailer.

1. What a lovely island! Wish I could get stranded there.

Seriously, the clear, blue water, gently peaking cliffs in the backdrop, and lush sand--what more can a person ask for?

2. Damn, this guy is #blessed to wake up and see Diana's (Wonder Woman's) angelic face.

If I somehow became stranded on an island, or was in some other dire situation, seeing Diana's caramel eyes would sure as hell brighten my day. The charming light blue sky that frames her face only makes this image more darling.

3. What planet/dimension is she from where Zeus is a religious figurehead that is not, well, earth?

It might be because I know very little about Wonder Woman's origin story in the comics, but if she does come from another planet (like the trailer seems to suggest), why are their gods so similar to ours? Hmmm ...

4. Wow, WWI.

As possibly the first super hero movie that takes place during WWI, this sets "Wonder Woman" apart from all the rest.

5. How does no one notice this sexy woman at a social gathering with a — wait for it — sword "tucked away" in the back of her dress?!?

I mean, really! But honestly, who cares; she looks ravishing in that dress, and maybe the patrons thought the sword was an adornment on the gown? In the "Wonder Woman" universe, anything is possible.

6. Is the woman with the half mask the villain of this story? Why that look?

This is a premature idea, but even so, it would definitely explain the odd expression on her face. Why would a person wear a mask on the lower half her face? Her identity is not so much of a secret that way.

7. How does she understand the concept of having a "father" if she never had one?

Although most likely easily explained in the film, it still leaves me wondering.

8. Is there a warrior clan with superhuman abilities on par with Wonder Woman's?

They sure are clad in gear that is similar to Wonder Woman's iconic outfit. Are they from the same universe as her? If so, that would explain their archery skills.

9. Agh why is there always a romantic subplot?!

"Wonder Woman" would be just as complete without it ...

10. Her shield sure has pretty etchings!

I am not kidding! Check them out.

11. Close up shot of her lasso that is not misogynistic! Yay to directing.

There was no close up of the crack of her butt. There was no prolonged camera angle on her thighs. There was no panning from her breasts downward to her lasso. And thank goodness for that.

12. Did Wonder Woman just walk through a battle field, all the while deflecting bullets, as if it was np?

This girl cannot get more inspirational if she tried.

13. Did Wonder Woman throw a man across the room with one hand?

Wonder Woman is not afraid to showcase her power, especially to those who need to learn a lesson. Her fearlessness is legendary.

14. Her lasso glows? Too cool.

We already knew it was magical, but its glow-in-the-dark feature makes it seem all the more interesting.

15. She just told him!

"What I do is not up to you." She could not have said it better!

16. Slow motion done right!

Jenkins (the film's director) manages to defy what could otherwise be an age-old cliche, as she properly coupled inspirational music with empowering fight sequences. Wonder Woman is on the move!

17. What did Wonder Woman deflect with her body?

A really interesting camera shot, it still leaves me asking questions; what did she deflect, and did it wound her at all? What on earth is happening in that camera shot? I must know, but will not for a good long time.

18. Dang, this girl is beating the s*** out of soldiers without using a gun? Diana is so bada**.

This girl has won my heart.

"Wonder Woman" comes out in theaters on May 7, 2017! Mark your calendars for the movie of the year!

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
