Thanksgiving Break: the biggest break since school started, but the tease leading to Christmas break.

During this time, we all have a lot on our minds. Whether we're back in the comfort of our own home, traveling, or joining a friend's family, I'm certain we've all thought these 18 things:

1. HOME. MADE. FOOD.

2. My family is the best.

3. I can't walk—I've eaten too much.

4. Free laundry!

5. Finals is in two weeks.

6. Bless up for leftovers.

There's a reason Thanksgiving is only once a year: the leftovers last a week.

7. Please for the love of all things good, no one bring up politics at the table. Or ever.

8. I don't want to go back.

9. Okay, I get it, you live somewhere cool.

10. Do these last two weeks even matter?

They're just for attendance points, right?

11. My Christmas playlist is about to be LIT like my tree.

12. Black Friday shopping.

Wait, I'm broke.

13. And Cyber Monday shopping.

Yep, still broke.

14. But really, do I have to go back?

15. What day is it?

16. Wait. HOW many school days left until finals?!

17. #SquadGoals

Because nothing beats seeing your best friends.

18. It's okay, I'll be back home soon enough.

Overall, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, no matter where you were or whoever was around the table. Remind yourself of the love, laughter, and rest, as you survive these next few weeks.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
