Ever since I was 12, I spent my days babysitting. I was one of those blessed teenagers that didn't have to find an actual job. With my little brother being eight years younger than me, I was a great babysitting option for him, his friends, and any other children that we knew through Moms Club. I loved spending time with kids throughout high school. I never felt bad for missing out on whatever my friends were doing, because I got to spend my time putting together puzzles and reading stories before bedtime. And then, I started to realize how being with kids had consumed my life. If you're anything like me, here are easy ways to know that you spend too much time with kids.
1. You enjoy Disney Jr.
2. You have preferences for what little kid shows you watch
3. When you watch movies alone, you still make loud reactions as if you have kids with you
4. When you left for college you were almost as sad to leave your kids behind as you were to leave your family
5. Whenever you were getting rid of your childhood stuff, you thought of which kid you could pass it down to
6. Certain songs make you think of babysitting
7. You watch the same movies on repeat so now you can quote them perfectly
8. You're tan from how much time you spent at the pool while nannying
9. You're used to automatically using responses like "cool", "no way", or "awesome" to anything kids say
10. You feel like an aunt for how often you say, "They're growing up so fast!"
11. You're proud of all of their accomplishments
12. Whenever someone reads at a faster pace than two words per minute, you're shocked
13. You like kid toys even though everyone else your age thinks that they're on the decline
14. You know how good Pirate's Booty is
15. You have a collection of kids drawings in your room
16. You have almost as many selfies with your kids as you do with your friends
17. For Christmas, you ask for a four-square ball and puzzles because they've become your favorite games
