17 Ways In Which The 'Supernatural' Fandom Is Positively Insane

Seriously, we're nuts.

17 Ways In Which The 'Supernatural' Fandom Is Positively Insane

So, you think your fandom is crazier than the "Supernatural" one? Really? "Supernatural" already has some crazy stuff in the actual show, but that's only the tip of the iceberg. Things get really weird once you delve into the actual fanbase. Here are just a few of the ways the SPN fandom is absolutely mental in a way that not even the "Doctor Who" fanbase can compete with.

1. On the show, the bad guys are mass murderers, and the good guys are also mass murderers, but we still adore them with every bit of our souls.

2. We pop into practically every Tumblr post, because we have a GIF for everything.

3. And I mean EVERYTHING.

Honestly, it's kind of terrifying how we do it.

4. We can give you the specifics on how to properly kill ghosts, vampires, demons, angels, changelings, djinns, dragons, fairies, the four horsemen of the apocalypse and literally any mythical being you can imagine.

5. We can spot the difference.

6. Our show makes awesome references to other fandoms like "Doctor Who."

7. And the Avengers.

8. And let's not forget "The Hunger Games."

And that's only naming a few of our many references.

9. But "Supernatural" also makes references to "Supernatural."

Because we're cool like that!

10. We have an unhealthy attachment to the song "Carry On Wayward Son" by KANSAS. Like, to the point where simply hearing the lyrics makes us start to weep.

11. Our Satan is completely adorable, and we are not ashamed of our love for him.

Just look at that precious, little face!

12. We not only adore the characters on the show, but we are also obsessed with the actual actors who play them.

I mean, how can you not love these goofballs?

13. We do things like this whenever there is a hiatus.

A time without SPN means a time without sanity, dignity, or boundaries.

14. Even though we should, we are incapable of hating the King of Hell, because he is the epitome of sass.

15. We've learned that when a character dies, they are most likely not dead.

Although that doesn't mean watching them die (for the 100th time) still doesn't hurt our poor hearts.

16. We have things like this, and they make complete sense in the context of the show.

You know what, I'm not even ashamed of this.

17. Yeah, our show is odd and a bit gory. And yes, the fans are insane with a dash of crazy. But one thing is for sure, and that's we'd all sell our souls in an instant to keep the show going.

And the best part is, we know exactly how to go about doing that.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
